In this example, the sharp edge of a pluck from String VCO (Surge XT) was softened using an ADSR envelope with long attack, leaving only the residual, draw-out, textured tail. Flows on softly forever.

VCV's Compressor is a commercial plugin, but can easily be replaced with a compressor of your choice or left out if you prefer.

Scale is D# minor pentatonic.
