If you’ve ever found yourself lost in a thundering bassline or hypnotized by shimmering synth atmospheres, chances are you’d feel right at home in the sonic world of DJ Beluga92. Hailing from the southwest of France, this project—helmed by Adrien and Elie, co-founders of the LPC collective—blends the raw textures of vintage synthesizers and drum machines into pulsating dancefloor experiences.

I first discovered DJ Beluga92 through their releases on LPC and Makesense Records, where each track felt like a direct shot of adrenaline into the night. Their latest EP “Reflected Lines” showcases exactly what makes their sound so compelling: cavernous club music, dense with textured atmospheres, yet always laser-focused on moving bodies.

When asked about the roots of their project, Adrien and Elie point to a hands-on, analog philosophy: “We love capturing the energy of vintage machines in live takes. It brings an unpredictability and warmth that keeps things alive. DJ Beluga92 is our playground to explore club music in all its forms—sometimes leaning towards psychedelic vibes, other times diving deep into full-blown rave energy.”

Strongly influenced by the traditions of rave, sound design experimentation, and classic four-to-the-floor grooves, DJ Beluga92’s work stands out for its deeply organic character. Their music doesn’t just move through mechanical patterns—it breathes, crackles, and evolves with the imperfections and raw textures of live-recorded machines. Whether you’re hearing a chunky, bass-heavy stomper or a glitched-out excursion into sound design, there’s always a tangible, almost living energy coursing through the tracks—a mystical thread that connects mind, body, and dancefloor.

This mix for Early Reflections offers a new glimpse into their universe. Recorded in their home studio—a space filled with the whirring life of analog machines—it distills the essence of their live energy into a 90-minute journey. Next up in our mix series is our good friend Kasper Marott - a DJ, producer, promoter and label head based in Copenhagen. Kasper is one of the heads behind the record label and event series Axces, as well as the beloved Copenhagen party series Haldisk and Essence, and the iconic Kune Festival. Since his debut in 2014, Kasper has shown his skill to produce ecstatic yet reflective tracks with a clear voice over and over. With his highly refined taste across genres he has also proven to be a unique talent as a DJ – his ear for the percussive elements of music is of a rare kind and his DJ sets sliding easily between moods, tempos and styles.

In this mix, Kasper taps into his techno-infused realms with a 3+ hour journey of uplifting euphoria at its finest. Rolling psychedelia meets ecstatic dubby delights, delivered with the unmistakable touch only Kasper can bring. He expertly masters taking the listeners through highs and lows seamlessly, in a fluid dance between tension and release, as a sonic exploration that balances chaos and control, bliss and introspection.

As co-founder of the label Never Not Now, she also stepped into production with her debut EP in 2022. Former artistic director of the Freqs of Nature festival, she continues her exploration today across renowned clubs, festivals, in the studio, and on Refuge Worldwide Berlin, leaving her mark on the electronic scene with her distinctive style.
