Kindly introduced to us by the friendly crew at @12th-isle, who released their amazing debut album 'Periphera' a year ago, these masters of modern ambience gift us with another selection of sonic mind travellers.

"These are tracks we developed between 2013-2021 and have featured heavily in our live performances, evolving over the years. The live show is the core of our project, creating specific listening environments for the experience of imaginary solutions and possible worlds. We've taken this to marshes, forests, woods, quarries and churches, sometimes with big audiences, sometimes just with a handful of close friends. Recent events forced us to take a pause from live performance and gave us time to compile this record, which reflects the range of moods and tones that feature in the shows. Hopefully we'll be able to return to performing soon. In the meantime we hope you enjoy the sounds. "This world is the closed door. It is a barrier. ΚΕΜΑΛ "The Great Cyber A TTTack Of Hellmann" mix for Movement Radio

Cucina Povera is the moniker of Maria Rossi. Maria is from originally from Finnish Karelia, the European region that borders Finland and Russia, and is now based in Glasgow. Her sublime and haunting experimentations in voice and field recordings have been captured on labels including Offen, Editions Mego, Night School, Primordial Void, Mappa and BAKK. We have been captured by her works, and are so honoured to have her take over the first hour. 

From Maria: The mix was inspired by friends and musical loves of mine who make great work. Hence I decided to include lesser known or unpublished works, by friends from Scotland, Ireland, Frankfurt, London, Finland, Quebec, Argentina, Spain, Afghanistan... Finishing the mix is a recent collaboration of mine with a dear one.

The first mix of this year was recorded by Ivan Olegovic, aka Regular Citizen — a native of the seaside town Nakhodka, an ex-drummer of local punk bands and also a resident of the Italian label @presto-records by Lorenzo Senni. Inside this mixtape we are about to face a minimalistic and experimental collage, sewn of the musician's favorites as well as his own works, including his lulling remix of the German metal band Rammstein.

A low vibration.
A shimmer beneath the dunes.

We followed it — not knowing where it led, only that it moved like memory through bone, like breath across ancient sand.
It twisted through dust and drum, through trance and tension, collecting fragments of rhythm left behind by those who inspired before us.

An echo etched into the bones of the world.
A wave that never fully fades,
a breath that hums beneath silence,
a frequency still felt, though its source is long gone.

The infinite nothingness.
The pulse before language —
the Omni vibration, moving through all things.
A sound that remembers.

Nine tracks composed of a journey:
from the folding of horizons,
through celestial theses and rose quartz hearts,
chanting mantras while losing touch,
stripped to the pure,
drawn into the dance of Ophir Lila,
riding the Miraj Groove,
to breathe with the unseen.
