Alternative Roots first discovered psychedelic music in the dark valleys of , Portugal. His fascination and involvement in the scene grew, to the point where he was entrenched in the culture and began organising his own parties and Dj'ing. 

Aside from his deep rooted passion for music, he has developed his own production techniques, heavily inspired by the Psychedelics, dark trance and tech trance and exprimental music that he listened to in his youth. 

His prodcutions have a definite and deliberate emphasis on heavy driving beats and deep basslines, punctuated by  dark atmospheres and other worldly sounds which transports the listener to unknown dimensions.........
