Clexane is a Melbourne/Naarm-based underground DJ with a deep love for bass. Rooted in Minimal and Liquid Funk Drum & Bass, his sets move between rolling basslines, stripped-back steppas and infectious grooves, with occasional detours into UKG, 140 and the groovier ends of techno.

Shaped early by the sounds of The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Pendulum, Dillinja and Daft Punk, electronic music has always been central to Clexane’s identity behind the decks. With extensive experience across the rave circuit, he’s shared line-ups and supported artists including T>I, Sigma, DJ Marky, Keeno and Napes.

Beyond the booth, Clexane is deeply embedded in the local scene as a co-founder of Abyssal Melbourne and Camp Aldente, while continuing to support and collaborate with promoters and labels such as Nocturne Ravers, Sub:Solar, Twisted Audio, Goldrush, Pulse Audio, Delight Records, Omegha DnB and DnB Mondays at Radio Bar.

Dedicated to those dodging lasers and bullets since ’91 — this is underground music, built for the dancefloor.

Kosen Production are fast becoming a pillar for independent drum & bass, never failing to deliver nasty slices of bass onto its ever-growing fan base. Founded in 2011, the French label has continued to push the sounds which have made the underbelly of drum & bass thrive in recent years. And they’ve hosted a wide range of talent, whether that be emerging newcomers or the scene’s more prominent figures, including heavyweight names such as Signs, The Clamps, TR Tactics and Nickbee. This year is beginning to look even bigger for both the label and its artists, having searched cyberspace for the most up and coming fresh sounds the genre has available.
