Sam's first appearance on Toy Tonics was 2 years ago. Sam came up with the Sport House EP. Here he revealed his very own way of making music: he plays synths, keyboards, knows about chords and makes a type of organic house music with lots of saxophones, great jazz chords, based on southern rhythms.

Sam’s house music reminds the more Balearic vibes from the 1980ies or the early disco house vibes. Some might call it organic. And yes, it’s house, it’s 4 to the floor, but he got that special human, handmade vibe that people look for today... after the overdose of digital music of the last 10 years this new way of making dance music might be the perfect mix between analogue and digital. 

Sam already released an EP with Italian disco last year. In case you don't know Sam’s key track please check out Danza Organica from his last EP Italianissimo: This one has been hammered by DJs all over the world over the last months: Gerd Janson, Perel, Job Jobse, DJ Tennis, Solomun… You can hear it on festivals all over the world this summer.

The mysterious Leipzig based duo JAJA released one of favourite albums of 2016 (Tropical Bird Club) on ynfnd (you need friends not discs) and we have been waiting to release something from them on Shika Shika ever since! 

For this Botanas, JAJA serve us up two humid, organic tracks seeped in dark green vegetation and marked by screeching birds from the canopy and mysterious voices from the forest floor. One for the deep groove.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, he was suspended for Xangô ogã at eight years old, which became the awakening to a life dedicated to liturgical percussion. At age of 19 he moved to the United States, where he would remain for 17 years, playing with great names of salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Cuban folklore. Back in Brazil, he played and recorded with several Brazilian artists, from Nando Reis to Monobloco, from Ramiro Musotto to Baby do Brazil, from Humberto Gessinger to Pavilhão 9, etc. His first solo CD, "Bá" was nominated for the Brazilian Music Prize, and is now preparing to release his second album, "RITUAL".

Altfrau & Raubitzki are two House / Tech-House producing friends from Mainz Germany.

Close to Mainz Germany two newcomers raise to start a revolution. It is time to redefine house music. It is time to break new ground. It is time for Altfrau & Raubitzki.

With their EP „Superstomp“ the two producers proove that they are not just another team producing annoying pop variants of indie songs. It is the way Altfrau & Raubitzki are combining their musical roots to a unique mix which suprises with fresh and up to date sound and a lot of groove. Teamed up since 2012 Altfrau & Raubitzki can look back on several parties in the area around Mainz. Together they have been playing in locations like the Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt and Odonien in Cologne. As solo acts they played at Mikz and Ritter Butzke in Berlin, at S38 in Koblenz, at the Schlachthof Wiesbaden and at several open air festivals. In their career they supported Format:B, Gabriel Ananda, Sascha Klöber, K-Paul and Belzebass among others.
Furthermore Altfrau & Raubitzki are well known for the „LETZ FETZ“ event which was the start for a urban electronic scene in Bingen am Rhein. To this day people talk about the unforgotten nights and the unmatched feeling of celebrating at a „LETZ FETZ“ with acts like Schluck den Druck or Egotronic.
