Am less bothered whether Samuel Ajayi Crowther made an intentional syncretism of one of the SIXTEEN OODUA-AFEREKA precious IRUNMOLE named ESU or not but my IFANGELISM is to reassert time innumerable that ESU is neither SATAN nor LUCIFER. ESU is not DEVIL and SHAITAN as well. 

ESU is a well-to-do ORISHA. A lieutenant of OLODUMARE. He  represents both the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE force of life. Unlike the false story being broadcast about for close to 200yrs that ESU is a rebel who acted against the will of the SUPREME CREATOR- OLODUMARE - ESU rather enjoys his tasks as being that ASE. ESU brought the use of cowries for exchange of goods & services.

 ESU and other ORISHAS are not ANGELS because in OODUA-AFEREKA WORLD AT LARGE there are no such beings as having wings flying to and forth.
