Played in bands during the 80's. Started making my own music in the 90's as technology gradually progressed and became an Engineer. Like all kinds of music, except Country and Western. (That's Both kinds. :)) I have made some amazing friends on Soundcloud and hope to make many more. What is 1898music? 1898 is the noise music for the ordinary man. Does ordinary imply "basic"? Is ordinary condescendence towards the ppl? Many Noise enthusiasts and artists legitimize the reactionary perspective against noise music. The reactive stance against noise will say: "i don't feel it, this aint music, this is non-sense, the promise of noise is not guaranteed." Even though the typical noise enthusiast appears to rebuke such attitude he legitimizes it by confronting noise as a promise of enjoyment, the noise enthusiast confronts noise as a mystery, a mysterious experience. The toxic noise enthusiast makes proper distance with the Real of noise, non sense never cuts the realm of the enthusiast, noise is only a postponed promise, for him noise transcends, the traumatic element of the non-musical never invades because noise is unquantifiable (probably due to noise's contamination with Brian Eno and Art). 1898 realizes that one must abandon noise in order to execute the Merzbauic Promise. 1898 traverses the fantasy of noise and claims that there is no mystery regarding noise. 1898 takes a surgeon's knife and cuts the fantasmatic-engimatic-ambient-phenomenological element of noise by intensifying many aspects of the noise, EDM and post internet music legacy via confronting musicality as a fiction and object of Acceleration. 1898 is an unilateral noise and an annihilation of the possibility of (sound) art. 1898 is the purest form of Scientific Merzbauic Nihilism

Musician, producer, Theory-FIction writer, influencer, composer, and arranger. 
He is known for being the Avant-Pop Ambassador of Puerto Rican Deconstructed Club netlabel 1898music. Alt-Jpop has self-released over 120 tracks, all of which follow the Philosophy of DJ Melania 666's doctrine of Triplet Fundamentalism and Decorative Music. Through this theories, Alt-Jpop is able to create a genre he describes as Funeral Kawaii Pop. He also cites Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as a catalyst for his concept, he draws her Philosophy of “accelerating darkness through cuteness.” Vázquez's musical style is characterized by Triplet centrism, esoteric rhythms, kawaii hyper-digitalism, high-pitched vocals, sribbly synth leads with an emphasis in melody, and complex but catchy arrangements. Some critics have described his music as Decora Kei Nihlistic Modernism applied to J-pop. Alt-Jpop cites Yasutaka Nakata, François Laruelle, Quentin Meillassoux, Catherine Breillat, Junichiro Tanizaki, DJ Melania 666, Haruko Tajima, nyanyanga_poo, TWICE, Perfume, Dave Rodgers, and Foodman as some of his main inspirations. He's often compared to Hyperpop and PC Music, but has denied such comparisons, “I don't think my music has any relation to PC Music, the focus is different. We just started during a similar period and have some mutual influences, that's it.” Teresa-Herria Philosopher Teresa-Chain says that the Alt-Jpop experience is closer to Philosophy and Literature than to music, for this reason his music is often misunderstood. 

Alt-Jpop has collaborated with artists such as umaneco, DJ Melania 666, Marukido, valknee, Sima Kim. He has also remixed NtsKi, Aya aka Panda, Akko Gorilla, and Alice Longyu Gao. He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
