The Mad Doctor is a producer, DJ, and occasional rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Possessing a deep love for the hip-hop culture that began since he was very young, he has made it his mission to help keep it alive and thriving, stressing hip-hop’s rule to always “keep it real.” 

With a style that some have described as old school with an experimental twist, the Mad Doctor provides listeners with raw, rugged beats laden with unique samples from all genres, flipped and modified to create new melodies, rhythms, sounds and effects. Lyrically, he exhibits poetical, truthful, sometimes humorous lyrics surrounding life, social issues, hip-hop culture, and more. Though he has adopted a distinctive sound that is all his own, the Mad Doctor always makes sure each new release brings something a little stylistically different than the last one to the table. 

Currently, he is working on a new project, called THE MALPRACTICE MUSIK COMPILATION. As with his instrumental LABSTRUMENTALS series, the Mad Doctor is currently letting his rhymes take a back seat to get behind the boards - but this time bringing some of the Underground’s finest unsung MCs from all across the country to contribute. The album should be dropping sometime next year.
