Off course, all in the form of a 100% vinyl-only session from our dear friend and one of our absolute favorite selectors: Mr. Fatpack himself...

The one, the only…...     wait.

“I want to take things slowly. Is that okay with you?"
"You’re not like those other girls.”

“I feel the same way,” she whispers. 
 “But what are we, then? What is this?”

“What do you mean, ‘we’?” he answers, his voice steady.  
“I am Max. You are You. We’re just two individuals attracted to eachother.”

“Max, huh?”
“Yeah. Just Max.”

“Okay, Max. Let's see what you are all about.”

She thought:  "Funny, his name was "Max", with all those  12” Maxi records laying around in the corner while his moves are just another boyish exercise in 'restraint'

But damn, does he proceed slowly, balancing tension and release without ever breaking the spell, maintaining that signature, effortless “roll.”

There is no ear-fatigue here. No "maxxed-out" bangers, and surely no ego-driven solos. 

You clearly don’t know Max yet. He is a pleaser as much as he is a teaser; a gentleman of energy.

In those first moments, the air is thick. Awkward. You ask yourself: Can I let my guard down? Can I trust him? Are we really doing this?!

You keep repeating to yourself: Real transcendence only exists beyond the reptilian brain. You can't be focusing on finding possible exits, otherwise, the ritual fails. 

After a few more drinks and playful jokes... the energy shifts. Your guard finally drops. And before you know it, you are going Off Course /w Redleg on a Roll   @redlegonaroll

Live recording of my monthly breakfast show for Rotterdam's Operator Radio. Second show of the year and one where I channeled some much needed vitamin D via music in the dark month of February. Decided to do another Brazil special (just like last year) only this time I focused on some of my favorite stuff between 1987 and 1994. Expect street soul, synth reggae, some love rap, boogie and much more. Strictly personal favorites. Really enjoyed doing this one. Yes, went twice. To try and recreate the sound is not listener friendly as each already long tune played by f ex Larry Levan seemed to be stretched to at least 15 minutes by combining the vocal with the instrumental+more vocals+much more of the instrumental, or just by using 2 copies of  the instrumental, often for nearly half an hour. Maybe the bowls of that special fruit juice in the other room  had something to do with it

One of the founding forces behind The Lot Radio and Tiki Disco, he keeps things buttery with an hour long UK Soul blend. We also had the pleasure of hosting the man for one of our OHM nights last year, where he tore the walls down till the sun came up. Turn the dial, kick back and let the captain take you away.

Finally we got him to make a mix for Trushmix. Here he delivers two hours of deep and underground house music. A deep house to techno  mix exploring different sounds of deep. From the more classic US house approach, to newer Euro stuff, and more experimental sounds. A true quality mix for the the heads!
