Dear listeners enjoy my Set for Breidenbachs BREIDENCAST - Thanks for giving me the opportunity to present my audio art.  

This session is vinyl only and mixed on my beloved Carmen Condesa in early 2022. It introduces a classic journey of my mixes - gliding from a smooth house session into heavy 4tothefloor dub and tech house rollers. 

I’m Thirsty J - also known as Dursti - from the Stuttgart based Collective
DJU-DJU Nation. My musical collection can be described as a groovy House sound - and contains from disco to techhouse everything this genre offers. But I'm also into Liquid Drum and Bass and Reggae-Dub. Together with my DJU DJU gang we are organising partys in different venues around Stuttgart.

If you’re into electronic music, chances are, you’re a fan of Kosta Athanassiadis, commonly known as XDB. The veteran DJ and producer has been consistently putting out beautiful music and making dancers move and sway for a long time, with a career in music spanning thirty years. With releases, on Metrolux, his own label, as well as Sistrum Recordings, Dolly, and Echochord, one would be surprised to find out that it wasn’t until 2020 that XDB put out a full-length LP when his genre-defying album “Inspiron” came out on Dial. But taking time to build up and do things properly seems to be Athanassiadis’s M.O., in regards to both releases and DJ sets. And today’s premiered track, a perfect slow-burner for warm-up sets, happens to be no different.

XDB truly goes back to his deep roots in a groovy remix of “GR2", commencing with a hypnotic synth line right at the track’s forefront, eventually taking a step back. Sharp high hats, synth stabs and snare drum rolls work together for the duration of the track to ensure that party attendees will be dancing. 

Athanassiadis’s remix comes as part of the “Dark Path” EP, the first release on the Deep Series (a Diaphan Music sub-label) since 2014. The EP will be out on vinyl on March 2, 2022, and will be released digitally on February 28, 2022.

It's LYNX time! 

Going to Thailand for this week's show with the @morericerecordscrew who have invited @boiledwonderlandrecords 

Inspired by Murakamis’ tale of Underground electronic consciousness, @boiledwonderlandrecords present artists on the edge of electronic music boundaries. Based in Bangkok but connecting artists around the globe, we are a home of artists writing innovative and engaging dance music.

Launched in late 2020 the focused label has had a string of influential releases, with records being supported by the likes of nd_baumecker, and Sherelle. Earlier this year (2022) Boiled Wonderland put out their first compilation, Cognition’, with the single ‘Sarayu’s Deep Burnt’ being played across BBC Radio 1, and receiving plays and shout-outs from DJ’s like Emerald and Om Unit. 

The label is also always at the forefront of finding new and engaging artists and is very proud to have been the first artist to support up-and-coming Thai Talent ‘Chalo’, who is growing on to be one of the finest producers in Bangkok.

There is much in store within 2023 for the label with Boiled Wonderland releasing two new records in the early part of the year and a string of digital singles by a range of well-known and existing Thai and regional artists. A label that is always striving to find the best and most engaging dance music rooted in escapist, and exploratory soundscapes.
