" The Summer Sol compilation brings together a global family of like-minded producers, all striving to move hearts, minds, and bodies  with original music that draws from our ancestral past, and propels us into the future, without limitations or borders. Producers from over 14 different countries bring us 21 original songs, with lyrics from 7 different languages. 

Popular well known artists such as Canson, Dance Spirit, LUM, El Buho, Matanza, Hraach, and Alejandro Mosso,  alongside fresh new artists like Rodrigo Gallardo, Spaniol, Armen Miran, Niju, V i V i D, Florista, and Peter Power, blend naturally with Sol*Selectas artists such as Sabo, KMLN, Goldcap, and SAAND. 

The track list is a journey itself, going from South American mid tempo, to Shamanic downtempo, to Middle Eastern deep house, to Latin tribal house, to Playa tech, to Ambient cumbia dub. 

Each song represents the multicultural influences of the artists, and shows the diversity of the Sol Selectas sound.  

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the themes of summer and sunshine together perfectly.  This compilation will be released on the 1st day of the Summer Solstice - June 21st. 2016. " 

We hope these songs bring you joy and happiness, invoking feelings of positivity on the dance floor, a sunset on the beach, or even an early morning sunrise in the desert.

Antrea: Could be the name of a planet from a Sci-Fi movie. A world with bazaars and temples that are reminiscent of ancient human cultures, but with holograms and all sorts of wondrous spacecrafts hovering through the air. So Antrea is a great name for an EP that sounds as huge and epic as if it really was the soundtrack for this kind of Sci-Fi movie. Even that seedy bar where adventurous aliens and space travelers from all corners of the galaxy hang out has been transcribed into sound: Four different remixes add a proper dose of transdimensional drive to the dream-like boost of the original tracks.

You never know what the universe will bless you with and sometimes the universe hits you with the unexpected. In our case, the unexpected was filled with music from a new artist, the EP "Yuddhapot" by Zuma Dionys. 

This release is filled with original music by Zuma titled "Yuddhapot", "As Time Goes By", and "Calatore Spre Nicalori" plus a free bonus track "Keep on Moving".

Tebra’s EP is a story that unwinds on the shaded paths of the ‘Gora’ - a poetic Serbian term for forest. Beaming through the trees in dense brush strokes, we see sunlight and hear an enchanting fusion of acoustic and electronic guitars that mingle, coil, and unravel together like rich tree roots. Other instrumental compositions in the originals and remixes - arranged with the duduk, flutes, synths, santur and saz - punctuate this story with mystery and history.

Deep in the woods, leaves rustle and branches shoot upwards to the vocals performed by Terba’s younger sister, Jovana Jaric. The words she sings come from an old Serbian folklore song, telling the tale of a girl who enters the forest heartbroken and comes out of it cured, and complete. 

The tableau of nature and enigma is completed by remixers Sander and multi-instrumentalist Stephane Salerno, Valeron and Dizharmonia, who push the story deeper and bring fertile emotion to light.

Our new EP is a mandala of earthy and electric tones blended together with soft, driving drama. Two storytellers join the Souq ranks; Turkish Omerar Nanda and Russian Zuma Dionys complement each other’s worlds with ease, gifting us with an entrancing piece of work where traditional folk sounds are curbed by edgy electric ones. Hebele Hubulu comically refers to the language of those who speak with dogma and pretence, its cascading vocals emulating nonsense words in a jaunty march forward. It is a call to reflect on how you speak to and of the world, a call on not taking yourself so seriously. Berlin Based Zuma Dionys crafts cosmic landscapes in his work, this time serving us the zesty Belantash, rhythmically coiling and clapping, reaching a peak of electronic Oriental groove implosion. We hope you enjoy this peculiar beauty of an EP.
