About this mix:
When i started working on this mix, the intention was a bit different than how turned out. I ended up going for a mix which for me transmits a fun and vibrant mood and consists mostly of remixed songs that i first started listening to earlier in my life. “Jorney Through Poetry” es el Episodio número 2 de mi serie de aventuras donde construyo sets, por medio de la fragmentación, mashups y remix de tracks de música electronica  combinados con diseño sonoro. JOURNEY THROUGH POETRY

I crafted this set for all the innocents who have suffered and died, for all the innocents being forcibly displaced from their homes, and for all the innocents who are starving to death.

I am deeply sorry that we have failed you.

I struggle to find the words to express my feelings. As we watch the news, witnessing the senseless murders of children and women, witnessing entire populations being forcibly removed from their land, and witnessing ethnic cleansing happening before our very eyes, and still, we can't help but feel a profound sense of helplessness. We speak of freedom, love, and hope, yet suddenly, the world falls into silence. It's in these moments that we realize humanity has failed.

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Tuğçe Kurtiş grew up with a love for music, especially music performance. At age 6, she joined the school choir and started singing. Since then, she performed in countless occasions in Turkey, the US, Brazil, Costa Rica and Paraguay. Tuğçe studied voice, ear training, jazz vocals, and West-African drumming with percussionist Milford Graves and singer & songwriter Sheila Jordan among others. Various listeners have remarked that her voice is "ethereal", "something ancient, calling from the primeval darkness of fairytale". Tuğçe's musical interests cross genres and continents. She has collaborated as a singer, songwriter, and co-producer with Paraguayan musician & producer Santi on three albums: Ciclico (2014), Songs for Another Day (2015), and El Regreso del Gallito (2016). She has also released four singles: Istanbul'a (2017), Donde Va (2016), Sevda Çiçeği   (2016) and Backflash (2015). As the founder of the Kybele project, she aspires to develop opportunities for greater collaboration and broader inclusion of artists from around the world.
