Sliding in with his Debut Release, Mexican native, AIOKAI will put you through the ringer with this monstrous bass heavy EP laced with BADMAN riddims. Also featuring //DarkMode’s SubFILLA with a DnB remix, this EP is not one for the faint hearted. 

I Dread My Genes is a release that describes what is like living with epigenetic PTSD and OCD and how the latter may be connected to a genetic condition in his family.

About Aiokai
Aiokai is a drum & bass and dubstep producer from Mexico. He also likes to explore other genres like uk garage, future garage, breakbeat, breakbeat hardcore and juke/footwork. His DJ Sets are known to have a constant flux, altering the mood depending on what’s happening on the dance floor, never switching genres without accounting for structure, vibes, and groove. He is known for being an important part of the Mexican junglist scene.

He has played in Italy, Croatia and England and alongside artists such as DJ Marky, MC Fava, Run Tingz, Calculon and more. He considers that working at the Outlook Festival in 2018 and 2019 has given him a rich taste in multiple music genres. He is also a music production, sound design and sound engineering teacher. Aiokai works as a music promoter with multiple agencies such as Jungle Empire, BLDSMX and TLILTIC. In the last two, he also manages and does A&R for their respective record labels. He also works as a music writer, interviewer and curator in TLILTIC Radio, an online electronic music magazine and platform.

About Sub Filla
Sub Filla is a Perth based Drum and Bass artist with a hint of Halftime and Deep Dubstep. Owner and founder of Perth record label SUB ERA as well as A&R of newly formed label //DarkMode. With many upcoming releases and shows still left in his packed 2021 calendar, its safe to say it's going to be one of Sub Filla's best year.
