Module 1

Lover of electronic music, I started listening to Marc Moulin and Jean Michel Jarre, then Front 242 and A Split Segond. But the start was with the emergence of the New Beat movement. It was when I set up my mixing table in my bedroom. Later, following this evolution, Techno came out of London and Detroit. Hard Core made my head explode. I was fascinated by creating my own songs, so I left the mixing consoles for a computer. Minimalism really caught my attention, Richie Hawtin's work had me hypnotized. But then I discovered the origins of experimental electronic music with Steve Reich, Aphex Twin, John Cage, the electro acoustic of Luc Ferrari. Today, thirty years later, I am amazed by the works of The Black Dog Production and Alva Noto. A minimalist musical structure of high complexity, like the works of Autchre and Bords of Canada. My current big dream is to travel to Berlin and the former Eastern Bloc.


Amante de la música electrónica, empece a escuchar a Marc Moulin y Jean Michel Jarre, luego Front 242 y A Split Segond. Pero el arranque fue con el surgimiento del movimiento New Beat. Fue cuando monte en mi dormitorio mi mesa de mezclar. Más tarde siguiendo esta evolución, salió la Techno de Londres y Detroit.  El Hard Core me explotaba la cabeza. Me fascinaba crear mis propios temas, así que dejé las mesas de mezclar para un ordenador. El minimalismo me llamaba mucho la atención, los trabajos de Richie Hawtin me tenían hipnotizado. 
Pero luego descubrí a los orígenes de la música electrónica experimental con Steve Reich, Aphex Twin, John Cage, la electro acústica de Luc Ferrari.
Hoy en día, treinta años más tarde, me alucinan los trabajos de The Black Dog Producción y Alva Noto. Una estructura musical minimalista de alta complejidad, al igual que los trabajos de Autchre y Bords of Canada.  
Mi gran sueño actual es viajar a Berlín y por el antiguo bloque del Este.

Mauro aka Dusk_Beat, a Producer and DJ based in Milan (IT), has spent several years exploring and experimenting along the edges of electronic music—ranging from Techno to Electro/Breakbeat and Industrial. Today, he has shaped a distinctive sound rooted in the concept of magnetism, which reflects the intensity which he experiences in the techno club scene. Through this idea, he reinterprets the visceral energy that emerges only when you are fully immersed on the Dancefloor, in search of the true essence of the club experience.

He made his debut with the single “Ost” released on Pitch Track, a sub-label of the Roman imprint Blackbore Rec.

His influences span from the Berlin electronic scene of Helena Hauff, to the hypnotic techno of Dasha Rush, the experimental approach of Jako Jako, the darker atmospheres of British artist Samuel Kerridge, and the French experimentation of François X.

He currently also expresses himself through a show at the magnificent Carme space, held inside a deconsecrated church in San Faustino—a hub of the underground scene in Brescia (IT), which regularly welcomes DJs, musicians, and producers from all over Italy.
