También accede a responder a un pequeño cuestionario donde nos explica los porqués de la sesión que envía y también nos ayuda a entender, de la mano de su entusiasmo y compromiso, la práctica de Dj tal y como él la concibe.

La sesión fue registrada en directo, en la actuación inmesiva audiovisual que el colectivo @calmamadrid realizó en la Escuela Municipal de Música y Danza María Dolores Pradera (Madrid), dentro de la programación del Festival Flipas 2021.

Greenfingers Presents: Aag Selections

"This mix is a snapshot of where I’m at in 2022. Extended time away from playing out has allowed me to diversify my focus into new areas, as well as returning to some older influences with a new mindset. There’s new music from me across techno, electro, drum and bass, grey area, dubstep (I’m back baby) and whatever you call the dubstep version of grey area (yeah that’s happening) as well as some choice cuts from third parties. The hard part was making it all work, I feel I’ve constructed it in a way that flows well and isn’t too jarring. It’s not perfect but music rarely ever is! Hope you like it."

Heavily influenced by the stylistic features of grey area and non-genre dance music, Constructions 057 is spearheaded by Australian artist, Special Circumstances. 

Fusing intricate polyrhythms, dark atmospherics, and otherworldly synth programming into the bedrock of his musical manifesto, this foray sees Special Circumstances’ second appearance on the Constructions series after taking the maiden voyage for Constructions 001.

As an outlet for his cerebral dancefloor experiments that showcase the creative possibilities lurking outside the realm of homogenised dance music, 2019 saw the inception of his own label, Specious Music.

This year will see several new releases from Special Circumstances, including a release on Positive Centre’s In Silent Series label and a multi-part, multi-genre series of releases on Specious Music spanning Techno, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Electro, Downtempo, and the grey areas in between.

Alvaro Moreno, Spain. Trained as musician, spent many years playing bass guitar and double bass for jazz and modern music bands. He moved to Aoteroa/New Zealand in 2019 where he started a new adventure as a Dj and composer/producer, while teaching bass guitar at Nelson Centre of Musical Arts. Based in Whakatū/Nelson, launched Nelson Techno Collective on 2021 with the objective of bringing the sounds from the European electronic underground scene to the South Island. The collective hosted local events with very good reception from the audience. But not only techno, music experimentation and ambient sounds captivated his attention too. Electronic music became a new musical playground where to explore the hidden corners of auditory perception. He also shares the idea that music can shape our reality, bringing people together and making this world a better place. This philosophy will drive his future works.
