Binah is used to hearing that she needs to stick with one style of dance music. She’s also used to proving her skeptics wrong.

Having started out as an open-format DJ, Binah eventually found her chosen family in the underground. Her love of changing attitudes through music never went away, though. She’s not only a fixture of techno gatherings by the likes of Tenth Aesthetic but also broken beats collectives like Fraktured Seattle. Be it a single set or the course of her career, she comes ready to improvise on the spot.

Binah’s expert ear for artful noise and hypnotic loops gives her a firm grasp on the subtlety of techno. She doesn’t shy away from its futurist philosophy, incorporating unexpected elements like primal syncopations and otherworldly atmospheres to keep pushing the culture forward. Binah curates spaces where seemingly conflicting ideas can coexist, making her dance floor a common ground where otherwise disparate communities can unite as one.

No matter what she plays, Binah stays true to the challenging refinement of underground electronic music. Beyond that, there are no limits. It is this openness and excitement that keep on pushing her forward.
