Ayahuasca (also called Yage) is a tea used by shamans in South America to enter a trance. Ayahuasca is considered a medicinal brew (an herbal tea), where one of the basic components comes from the psychoactive plant Banisteriopsis caapi. The Banisteriopsis plant grows mainly in the Amazon. Ayahuasca tea also contains the Shakropanga or Shakrona plant.

The resulting drink is pharmacologically complex and is used in shamanic, ethnomedical, religious and spiritual healing practices. Ethnobiologists have listed 200-300 different plants used by Ayahuasca shamans in the special herbal brew.

Ayahuasca tea contains the psychoactive substance dimethyltryptamine (DMT).

AlvinTep, an emerging artist on the French psytrance scene, fuses hypnotic sounds with captivating rhythms. Passionate about music since his youngest age, he found his identity in the psychedelic universe, it was in 2021 that he launched into production creating immersive tracks that transport the audience on a unique sound journey.

In 2024 he joined the German label Galama Records and created the Happsyness association with which he organizes Psytrance events in Strasbourg.

Musical Style:

His progressive approach is characterized by ethereal melodies, deep bass and meticulous constructions with a touch of acid that captivate the audience. AlvinTep plays with emotions, mixing organic and electronic elements to offer a rich and transcendent auditory experience.

Performances:
On stage, AlvinTep is a true architect of sound. His dynamic and energetic performances create an instant connection with the audience. Whether at an outdoor festival or an intimate evening, he knows how to thrill the crowds and maintain an atmosphere of communion.

Influences :
Inspired by the pioneers of psytrance and the new waves of electronic music, AlvinTep also draws on various genres, thus enriching his musical universe.
