Neptune Project's 'Proteus' is a true anthem that showcases the vintage trance production philosophy of the renowned British duo. The first of many singles to be released from their groundbreaking debut album 'A Question Of Reality' that was awarded the prestigious 'Album of the Month' by MixMag and critically acclaimed by leading names as a 'Masterpiece of Electronic Music'.

The original is an emotional peak time journey, layered full of glorious pads, haunting pianos and plucks, rich in feeling that synergistically captivates the heart strings.

Legendary producer The Thrillseekers was so impressed by Proteus, he exclusively took time away from the production of his Hydra album to deliver a stunning remix, bridging the gap nicely between both progressive and trance vibes.

The package is completed with a sensational ambient piece from Moonwatcher, one of the staple artist's on many iconic chilled euphoria compilations under both his Moonwatcher & Alaska guises, who returns once more to deliver his magic with a sonically immersive soundscape.

With a global merger of sounds ranging from the Belgian duo Wolfpack’s boisterous big room, to the German influx of Jaxx & Vega’s racing house and R3spawn’s finessed electro, ‘Kalinka’ impressively draws together  a stylistic production that will dominate livesets and playlists for the coming months. Launching off with a double-time beat that acts as the foundation for layers of rattling, punchy low-ends and shooting synths, a teaser of a melody comes in before the breakdown enlists an ever-increasing, speeding loop of horns project forth to make audiences stand to attention.

Having stated on more than one occasion that this was a record that played a huge role in defining the Orkidea sound - it was match made in heaven to get Tapio the opportunity to put his stamp on Perfect Motion. We adore what he has done and feel it keeps the essence of that seminal mix that was such a staple peak time anthem for Sasha and Digweed back in the glory days fo Renaissance.
