"I just have one word to say about her—ENERGY!" - Stevie Wonder

The path to soulful pop prominence is often defined by the company one keeps, and in the case of Alyce Metallo, the journey's been riddled with a remarkable collaborative lineage. Though music (particularly playing piano) was in her blood since the tender age of two, the Singer/Songwriter would eventually encounter a series of extraordinary circumstances that paved the way to her full time artistic endeavors. From her earliest professional performances at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at Catholic University, the College of Fine Arts at Howard University in Washington D.C. (where she earned an Education and Piano degree) or at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain as an exchange student, the burgeoning troubadour possessed vocal prowess and additionally expressive gifts for writing, performing, arranging and producing. 

Along the way, she amassed a plethora of prominent credits, including slots alongside the likes of Luther Vandross, Diana Ross and Kenny Rogers at Bill Clinton's inauguration, a return engagement to the White House for VH1's Save the Music with John Mellencamp, plus multiple appearances with that same star and Stevie Wonder. A host of high-profile performances for Congressmen and Presidents of the United Stated since the Clinton Administration followed, along with numerous Kennedy Center concerts including the spreading of her theatrical wings as Debbie Allen cast her for the Kennedy Center concert production of "Carmen Jones" alongside former Miss America Vanessa Williams. With a grand prize win in the prestigious "International Song of Peace" competition held in Tipperary, Ireland to her credit, Metallo has earned her artistic stripes with an unflinching commitment to the performance arena. 

Even amidst such high profile periods, the switch-hitter also balanced her concert schedule with a mission to teach high-schoolers throughout the D.C. area. But, thanks to the continual prodding of her husband and Creative Arts Pastor Marty McCall (from Grammy Award-winning act First Call) and producer friend Fletch Wiley (Andrae Crouch), she eventually dove deep into a solo songwriting career, anchored by a recently released self-titled CD in 2007.

Metallo is pursuing a career in songwriting as well, and also looks to LA, Nashville and Atlanta to keep her writing/producing chops alive. Blessed with a unique platform in her home base, Metallo is now in full-time music ministry as a worship leader on staff at McLean Bible Church (boasting 19,000 on any given weekend) located in Northern Virginia where Lon Solomon (of "Not A Sermon Just a Thought") is Senior Pastor.

She is also preparing to launch a Kickstarter Campaign in 2015. The goal is to raise enough money to cover the cost to record the bulk of her work, hire musicians, visual and graphic design teams and launch multiple media and radio campaigns. There's even a possible Latin project on the horizon. There will be the usual Metallo CD listening parties at private homes and venues where listeners select their favorite tunes and eventually have a hand in the final albums'  song selections. Each listening party will also feature worship, with just enough time left over for storytelling (and she certainly has plenty to talk about!).

Metallo is also a member of the award-winning, DC-based improv troupe NowThis! and has traveled extensively with them since 2000.

John Richardson, also known as, DJ Superstar J. R. has been a professional disc jockey (DJ) for 17 years.  He  was a resident DJ at the Atrium @ TreeTops and Classics Night Club in MD as well as at Ritz Night Club in DC.  Currently he is a resident DJ at Triple Nines Bar & Billiards.  Superstar J. R. entertains diverse groups of clients by beat-mixing any of the following genres of music: Bachata, Contemporary Christian, Country, Disco, Funk, Go-Go, Gospel, Hip Hop, House, Pop, R&B, Reggae, Salsa Merengue, Techno, Top 40, World Music, Old School and New School music.  In addition to beat-mixing mp3, Superstar J. R. has added MP4s/videos and Karaoke to his repertoire.  

Superstar J. R. has a wealth of music knowledge and a keen sense of programming music.  He has experience performing for school proms, weddings, corporate holiday events, community events, political events and high profile clients.  All of his clients are stars so he provides great customer service starting with properly communication with them, wedding coordinators, managers, and event staff.  Moreover, Superstar J. R. has over 17 years experience as an ordained minister, educator (teacher/assistant principal) and does motivational speaking as well community activism.
