Funday Friends is music from an open group of friends that jam and play music together. The name comes from Sunday Funday, which is a weekly hangout at Harlow Park in Marquette, MI. All of the songs here are one-take completely improvised songs. Anyone can jam along and there is no filter,  just having a fun time with love and music and friends. Make sure to spread the love!!  And by love I mean the heart shaped like button.... lol

The Upper Michigan MC/DJ duo Eager Maniacs are as bad as they are weird, as hip hop as they are punk rock, and as cynical as they are eager. Stark’s synth-laden minor-chord beats paired with Gerko’s aggressive and nasally staccato-rap makes for a sonically provocative combination, they aren't your cookie cutter hip hop duo. They're flinging blood and pulp at the canvas for a new generation of hip hop heads.

Whether it's an introspective journey through his consciousness during an existential crisis, a story about a vagrant fisherman who is desperately seeking the love of his life (a mermaid), a vicious battle track about beheading his scavenging peers with a bone awl, or a heart on the sleeve tale describing the life of an anorexic girl; Gerko's lyrics lend a tone of urgency to Stark's eclectic soundscapes. Stark doesn't settle on one specific sound production-wise; equipped with an assortment of synthesizers, DAWs, an MPC, an MPK, and two turntables, he blends varied samples with airy synth-lines and crisp jazz hop drums. Eager Maniacs are what happen when you let a blunt tongued bard make music with an obsessively meticulous beatsmith.
