THE UTTER COMMAND OF THIS LIFE OF DESPAIR--RAISE THYSELF TO BE HIGH ENOUGH FOR THE NIETZCHEAN LIGHTING GRACE! OR FALL AS A DISGRACE UPON THE EARTH! YEA, THE STATUES ARE WHISPERING SOMETHING DIVINE TO THE CHILDREN OF WRATH AND PITY AND REGRET'S SHADE

These men and women and children of today all have traitorous hearts, and none perceives this, for who betrays sustaining Truth to worship Nihilism, Irony, and Inauthenicity. Only a dog of dishonor. 

Holden Caulfield is more human than any of these modern humans, and they despise his virtue for he rebels against the sin of pretense, and these modern men and women and children are all high pretenders who cannot peer into themselves lest they be self-damned.
