This project unites artists from two labels, Chinese based bié Records and Latin America based Shika Shika, separated by very contrasting cultures and thousands of kilometers but united by shared values and a shared musical vision.

Driven by values of creativity, borderless music and fairness for artists, both labels showcase artists that unite electronica with ambient and folk music, purposefully existing outside of the globalized, copy-paste of the mainstream music industry.

A mix of intrigue and mutual respect led to the birth of this compilation, with the two labels teaming up to match together a group of their artists to remix each other. The result is a widely imaginative, fresh and diverse selection of tracks featuring some of the prominent producers such as DaYe, Lim Giong; Hualun, Sun Dawei and Rainsoft from bié records and DJ Raff, Terror:Cactus, Numa Gama, Barrio Lindo and El Búho from Shika Shika.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown in the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a label from the land of the Ancient Greeks: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music trip outside traditional paths with driving grooves and polyphonic structures that are seeking dancers to Dionysian highs and places never seen before.

The native name of Greece in Modern Greek is Ελλάδα. The corresponding form in Ancient Greek and conservative formal Modern Greek is Ἑλλάς (Hellas). This is the source of the English alternative name Hellas, which is mostly found in archaic or poetic contexts today. The Greek adjectival form ελληνικός is sometimes also translated as Hellenic and is often rendered in this way in the formal names of Greek institutions, as in the official name of the Greek state, the Hellenic Republic. The English names Greece and Greek are derived, via the Latin Graecia and Graecus, from the name of the Graeci (Graikós), who were among the first ancient Greek tribes to settle Magna Graecia in southern Italy. The term is possibly derived from the Proto-Indo-European root "to grow old", more specifically from Graea (ancient city), said by Aristotle to be the oldest in Greece, and the source of colonists for the Naples area. This is the first compilation in “The Path To Hedonism” series and is dedicated to Greece.  “ǎlo” EP  from Italian multidisciplinary artist Ka:lu is an invitation to immerse in abundance, respect and gratefulness to most of the energies we can't perceive and experience with our 5 senses but who are in motion all around !

Through his arts, as in music, he always tries to express the belief into sounds as universal language, a way to get in meditation, a tool to understand where we are coming from, where we are, where we are going.

The first track from the EP “ǎlo “ has its meaning from latin expression  “nourishment”  following by  "enuj"  of his daughter’s second name reversed "June";  coming from romanian mythology and goddess Juno - sign of vital force, the fullness of vital energy and eternal youthfulness !

NahNah, represents a mysterious female god, born out of the artist's imagination , mostly being around and looking for the creation of connections between people especially as she knows what we need and who can help us... she plays with life trying to make things happen !

Esoteric Circle music project is born from mind of the two French brothers: Julien and Raphael Piacentino.
They bring their emotions together in a new and innovative sound, and they’re
also focused on elaborating synth melodies and minimalist percussive sounds to
create tracks for techno lovers dancefloors.

Their first EP released in 2018 on Infinite Deph, with a remix by the Dutch producer
VNTM, was supported by Mind Against; followed by their second EP “Column”
on Family Name.
The track “Dawn” made with Anima was supported by Tale Of Us worldwide.
Their future release on Fur Coat’s label, Oddity Records, is warmly expected.

They’re currently supported and played by artists like: Tale Of Us, Mind
Against, Soel, Kevin De Vries, Fideles... and they’re looking forward for future
projects with them.

Germain virtuoso Tim Engelhardt is back to Eleatics and this time with a full release. Having remixed 'Gypsy' by The Organism last year for us, Tim is returning back with 'Sun' EP consisting of two beautiful compositions by Tim.
Main titled 'Sun' is the elegant melodic symphony.
Lyric, dramatic and intriguing: these are the words, which are the best describing the mood of the track, which is drawing the autumn mood so so precisely and accurately.
Fur Coat are taking their 'Sun' remix work seriously, as they always do in any production piece their hands touch.
The vigorous bassline in combination with the repetitive leads throughout the dark growling sounds are extracting the dance energy from Tim's original track.

Fur Coat’s @oddityrecordings label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family. 

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft. 

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration. 

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. It's a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first-timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.
