Canada’s @747 returns to Aquaregia with a two-track, dreamy and emotionally charged 303 record.

A key contributor to Emily Nicoll’s Aquaregia, 747, known best for his ‘Aurora Centralis’ EP on the label, now finally reveals the much-anticipated ‘Veiltail / Stairway’ two-tracker, his first release on the imprint since 2021’s ‘While My 303 Gently Weeps’.

Opening with the A-side, 747’s ‘Veiltail’ explores abyssal depths where distorted, crunchy synths echo like sonar pulses in the darkness. Solacing hymn-like pads gently weave through its otherworldly soundscapes, crafting a tale of introspection and longing and making for the perfect sunrise track, iconically heard in his early-hours set at Germany’s Fusion Festival last year.

On the flip, ‘Stairway’ is guided by punchy, broken beats and a minor chord progression, its whining lead extending like a beacon. Beaming lights beckon and call to the skies where euphoric arpeggios await, closing out another excellent release from 747 and making the three-year wait since his last studio work well worthwhile.

The track combines a driving deep house beat with Persian scales and instruments, creating a hypnotic oriental vibe that still feels modern and club-ready. Soft pads and deep basslines form a warm foundation while melancholic, slightly mystical melodic lines unfold on top, reminiscent of traditional Persian string and flute sounds. Altogether it builds a dense, atmospheric soundscape that works both for dancing and for drifting away into late-night desert visions or cinematic urban scenes.

Ahead of their highly anticipated 'DRIFT SONGS' LP which is set to arrive this October, UK dance music giants Rick Smith and Karl Hyde aka Underworld have linked up once again with their friend Ø [Phase] to present 'Border Country'.

The track marks the final part of DRIFT Episode 4 as part of the group's ambitious DRIFT series - an ongoing, fifty-two-week experiment where they publish new material every week of the year.

'Border Country' is the second collaboration with Londoner and DRIFT community member Ø [Phase]. Lithe and restless, it edges and darts through unmapped spaces into a place where grimy nocturnal electronics are driven hard by fizzing hi-hats and multiple voices rebound in from the peripheries.
