𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 𝗗𝗝-𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗯𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱!

𝟭. 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 (25.5 punten)
Hoewel de jury niet unaniem was, heeft deze set de hoogste totaalscore behaald. Om te beginnen heeft deze mix een prima audio kwaliteit, de luisteraar hoort de diepte van de mix en door de hoge kwaliteit krijgt elk geluid zijn eigen positie in de mix. De drive en techniek zijn erg goed. Ook qua originaliteit scoort deze artiest hoog. Door de track selectie is deze mix een compleet eigen wereld geworden. Wanneer je als DJ een eigen stijl hebt ontwikkeld dan hoor je de noodzaak en de persoon echt terug in de mix. Daarom heeft de jury besloten dat God Knows de openingsact wordt bij Technostate’s The Rocket op het door ons zo geliefde Play! Festival, Wicked Inventors! Daarnaast is de winnende set morgenavond te beluisteren in het 1e uur van onze wekelijkse radioshow op Fnoob Techno Radio.

𝟮. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮 (25 punten)
Met een warme herkenbare sound is deze mix zeer goed ontvangen door de jury. Technisch erg goed!. Er wordt met een goeie snelheid doorgemixed. De drive is zeker na een minuut of 20 vol en aangenaam. De laatste track was niet persé noodzakelijk. De kwaliteit van het geluid is ook goed, zo komen de tracks helemaal tot hun recht. Wat zo fijn is aan deze mix is dat je er gewoon van kunt genieten. Deze DJ heeft heel wat draaiuren opgedaan en dat is duidelijk te horen in de flow van deze mix. Dus een hele prettige ervaring. Wij willen Sandro niet met lege handen laten staan. Daarom zal ook zijn inzending volgende week airplay krijgen in onze wekelijkse radioshow op Fnoob Techno Radio.

𝟯. 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗮 (20 punten). Met ravesounds, harde kicks en een steengoeie audiokwaliteit is dit een prettige herkenbare mix geworden. Grote zware zaken die technisch goed in elkaar overgaan. In de mix zitten wel een aantal usual suspects binnen dit genre waarmee de DJ helaas niet het verschil maakt in originaliteit. Gewoon een erg goeie mix, waarbij we juist altijd op zoek zijn naar een ongewoon goeie mix. Als beloning voor haar deelname aan onze DJ Contest hebben we besloten om over 2 weken ook haar set uit te zenden in onze wekelijkse radioshow op Fnoob Techno Radio.

𝟰. 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 (19 punten).

𝟱. 𝗚𝗻𝗼𝗷𝗱𝗲𝗻 (16 punten).

Hierbij willen we graag alle DJ’s bedanken voor hun deelname en getoonde inzet. Maar natuurlijk gaat onze dank ook uit naar onze juryleden voor hun vakkundige beoordelingen. We kijken nu al uit naar een heerlijk dagje Play! Festival.

I am pleased to introduce you to one of Atlanta's most talented DJs...Albatross!

Albatross is Elizabeth Morrison. Originally from Atlanta, she has been a DJ in the city's local techno and house music scene for over 12 years. From a young age, she was entranced by the music and her tastes vary vastly. Her journey as a DJ began in the world of analog and vinyl, but she currently uses Traktor to bring her mixes to life. She has appeared at Pangea Music Festival and Imagine Music Festival as well as countless intimate gatherings and local weeklies.

In 2018, she thought it would be nice to get behind the mix. It wasn't until the summer of 2022 that AMAR DURGA, a girl from Prague, tried mixing for the first and last time. At least, that’s what she thought. A few months later, she accidentally made a DJ booking at a bar. With only 10 days left to practice for her first gig, she knew she would either start now or never. Since 11 December 2022, she has been playing in Czechia as well as abroad. At the end of 2023, she began to learn electronic dance music production. Besides techno, she enjoys minimal deep tech, tech house, deep house, organic house and psytrance. Her debut EP was released in 2024.
