A cover of the first portion of a cue from the 2009 Star Trek film scored by Michael Giacchino. I mocked this up by ear, not from a score, as I thought it would be an interesting exercise.

I wanted to experiment with mixing the string section in isolation, so came up with this track to allow me to experiment with mixing strings in a cinematic style.

I get so much feels listening to this song and even when I recorded this cover lol

This is something I've been working on a long time already but haven't been able to finish. It still doesn't have the exact feeling I wanted it to have but I can at least partially blame the computery sound for it. If only I could find a string orchestra that would play this...

Comments:
This is my very first Touhou remix - though I've been a musician for most of my life, I'm still an amateur when it comes to audio production... nevertheless, I hope everyone at DP will find this piece enjoyable.  

TH12 has one of my favorite soundtracks of the series, and I have a particular soft spot for Stage 6 themes (they can have some of the most interesting unexplored ideas out there!) so naturally I arrived at rearranging this track.  

It isn't as dark and foreboding as the original, but I hope it paints the same extraordinary image in your minds as I see: the final journey through a twisted landscape of ruin and decay, awash in the colors of blood and sunset... and at the end of the path sits the White Lotus Saint, quietly contemplating, awaiting her return into the world.
