This week's TANK Mix of downtempo dub and spirited nueva canción comes from Tara Clerkin Trio. Every genre thrown at the Bristolian noisemakers – avant-jazz, electronica, ambient – fails to fully capture their urbane, spatial timbre, a sensibility forged over the past decade of playing together in the Bristol noise scene. Their most recent release, the expansive single Exquisite Corpse 1, was released last year.

The oneiric, intuitive melodies of ehh hahah make an intimate space for the hypnotic, emotion-filled voice of spalarnia. The songs embody intimacy and surrender to romance, eroticism or trust, but they are also a form of protest against the reality that does not allow such intimacy.

This single is the first from upcoming serie of singles and remixes.
