Led by Queensland Conservatorium’s Bachelor of Popular Music program, SEED is an innovative music project based on the Gold Coast. Since kicking off in 2012, SEED has grown from a single compilation album release to an extensive emerging musician development program. 

Each year the Bachelor of Popular Music students’ best songs are compiled into an album and distributed online. Selected artists then receive genuine career building and learning experiences, industry connections and numerous high-profile performance opportunities.

Vera Blue continues her sonic evolution with the release of ‘Parallel Desire’, a dark, ethereal exploration of unrequited longing and the shadowy side of love. 
 
Building on from her previous single ‘In The Corner’, her new release sees Vera Blue at her most commanding and expressive, with soaring vocals moving through a soundscape of choirs, ghostly strings and haunting electronic production.
 
Written in LA with Lucy Healy (FINNEAS, Madison Beer, Renee Rapp) and brought to life by long-time collaborator and producer Ross James with grammy-award winning mix engineer Eric J Dubowsky (Dua Lipa, Flume, Tove Lo), ‘Parallel Desire’ and is steeped in emotional honesty and sonic detail.
 
Vera Blue is an ARIA-nominated and APRA award-winning singer-songwriter with over 500 million artist streams, 12 x Platinum and Gold ARIA accreditations, hit collaborations with Flume, and two standout albums in Perennial and Mercurial. She’s supported Flume, Matt Corby and Maggie Rogers, sold out five national tours, and played to full houses in the US, UK and Europe.

Born and raised on the picturesque Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, Amber Stone has been forging a career in music since the tender age of 16. A singer-songwriter, Stone is as gorgeous as her songs, all plucked straight from a heart worn very much on her sleeve. 

Amber Stone’s sophomore single, ‘Surrender’ is a poignant recount of a mutual attraction that struggles to encounter the right timing to materialise. The songs sultry production and vocal perfection easily places the Gold Coast singer on the way to being Australia’s answer to pop icon, Taylor Swift. It comes as no surprise that Stone draws influence from songwriters such as Julia Michaels, with Stone's lyrics leaving your heart unravelling around you. 

A change of pace and direction from her debut single ‘Being Yours’, which earned her success at Australian radio, Amber reached out to Jarryd Shuker, Art of Sleeping band member turned producer to collaborate on the ‘Surrender’ production. The result is an emotive, smoky pop track that will sonically seduce you with Lana Del Rey-esque vocals and commanding lyrics. The track forms part of Stone's debut EP set for release in 2021 which is an amalgamation of songs written about the early stages of love from a relationship. 

The epitome of an artist’s artist, Amber Stone is one to watch.
