Created in collaboration on 1 July and 1 September 2021 (initial and final mix and recording, respectively, in MAGIX by Roberto B), and 29, 30 and 31 August (intermediate additions, mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro X by Alex M), and posted here on SoundCloud on 3 September 2021 (by Alex M). The used sound effects come from Alex M's own sample - Gentle Early Morning Sea Waves (recorded on 26 August 2021, on the beach in Kariani, Aegean Sea coast, north Greece).

The artwork cover is designed and implemented by Alex M on 29 June 2021 (in Tayasui Sketch in Mac OS), and cropped and annotated by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 30 June 2021.

Definitions of the term aporia have varied throughout history. The Oxford English Dictionary includes two forms of the word: the adjective "aporetic", which it defines as "impassable", and "inclined to doubt, or to raise objections"; and the noun form "aporia", which it defines as the "state of the aporetic" and "a perplexity or difficulty". The dictionary entry also includes two early textual uses, which both refer to the term's rhetorical (rather than philosophical) usage.

In George Puttenham's The Arte of English Poesie (1589), aporia is "the Doubtful, [so] called...because often we will seem to caste perils, and make doubts of things when by a plaine manner of speech we might affirm or deny [them]". In a reference from 1657, J. Smith's Mystical Rhetoric, the term becomes "a figure whereby the speaker sheweth that he doubteth, either where to begin for the multitude of matters, or what to do or say in some strange or ambiguous thing" (OED). Herbert Weir Smyth's Greek Grammar (1956) also focuses on the rhetorical usage by defining aporia as "an artifice by which a speaker feigns doubts as to where he shall begin or end or what he shall do or say" (674).

More modern sources, perhaps because they come after the advent of post-structuralism, have chosen to omit the rhetorical usage of the term. In William Harmon's A Handbook to Literature, for example, aporia is identified as "a difficulty, impasse, or point of doubt and indecision", while also noting that critics such as Jacques Derrida have employed the term to "indicate a point of undecidability, which locates the site at which the text most obviously undermines its own rhetorical structure, dismantles, or deconstructs itself" (39). Julian Wolfreys, in his essay "Trauma, Testimony, and Criticism", characterizes trauma as aporia, a wound with unending trail. Valiur Rahaman, in his book Interpretations: Essays in Literary Theory (2011), explained aporia as a creative force in both the artist and their art; it is, for the artist, an edgeless edge of the text or a work of art.

Echoes is a deeply personal exploration of place, memory, and transformation. The EP opens with a track originally composed for @laaarmusic’s debut at Fusion Festival - a tribute to the enigmatic atmosphere of the Seebühne stage. Dark, fog-laced, and full of tension, it captures the charged stillness of that moment: the unknown rising from mist and bass.
Following his move to Europe in December, Laaar found unexpected echoes of that same energy in the forest near his new home. Cold days and quiet walks inspired the remaining two tracks - introspective pieces shaped by solitude, shifting light, and the distant pulse of memory.
Echoes weaves these experiences into a soundscape that feels both vast and intimate, club-minded yet deeply reflective. A journey through fog and forest, rhythm and resonance.

My path to music began with the first notes played on the Soviet-made Chaika Piano. Even then, just starting the path, repeating scales and studying classical music, I had an interest in creating my own compositions. It was a turning point for my country, the Soviet Union was collapsing, Russia was like a poorly dressed and hungry child, confusion and fear were read in people's eyes. One of the salvation at this moment for me was music, I spent hours at the piano, playing well-known classical works and trying to compose something of my own in parallel. My baptism in electronic music was participation in the LUNAR ABYSS project, it was noise music. Then I met the students of the Theater Academy on Mokhovaya Street, it was a newly recruited experimental course of students from all over the republic. With them I had a project "DREWOOD KHUN", which means "Tree Man" and lies in the depths of an ancient legend. After that, the project "Hiree" or meaning the bird raven appeared. He also participated in theatrical productions, wrote Soundtrack. In all projects, Buryat folk songs and throat singing were used in one way or another. At the moment, almost none of these projects have been preserved in the materials, as the equipment turned out to be confirmed by damage, especially at times when you don't expect it at all ((. Almost everything that remains will appear here in the near future. Now I have returned back to this path, the path to music, new tracks will appear soon, new reflections. Sincerely yours Ambie.
