Whilst this collective effort pays homage to a musical instrument that is more or less our society's paradigm of human expression through sound since the 19th Century, we mustn't forget who basically set the rules for keyboard musical writing, changing the whole game forever. This composition was created as part of a research-led project exploring the relationship between music and relaxation. It was created as part of my dissertation project on the cognitive and emotional effects of ambient music. Inspired by neuroscience, sound therapy and the song called "Weightless" by Marconi Union.
