Quantaform III for Solo Flute, with acoustic resonance. Performed by Jos Zwaanenburg. In the Quantaform series cycle, the acoustic response is designed to work in tandem with the pitch material of the pieces. This movement uses delicate timbres (air sounds, pitch bends) to 'provoke' the added acoustic.

This movement is a demanding work which asks the flautist to perform notes with 'backwards attacks' (as if a tape were played backwards), and make subtle transitions at speed between pitch and noise whilst keeping tightly to a relentless groove.
