Zenify Music is proud to report our podcast series is now in the double digits! For the 10th, we welcome German DJ and live act David Hasert. He is the founder of LIKE records and a key figure in the electronic music scene in Cologne. He is also the face of Reineke Fuchs and responsible for the high quality bookings and the club’s unique success. After lots of releases on his own label LIKE, Beats In Space, Dantze and Kompakt records, there with his Project DAMH (which he is running with ADA), it’s no wonder David is so highly revered these days.

I was banned by the new Netflix Series  „Stranger things“ after I decided to create an intro for my Zenify Music podcast based on the theme song. It is a live recording while I jammed with my Korg R3 Vocoder, a Juno 106 and some other 80´s Instruments I have collected over the years. After I finished, I recognized there was only 6 minutes on the recording so I filled the rest with my newest music and other great stuff by artists I like.

For over five years, All Day I Dream has been where deep and emotive meet House music. Propelled by a community of forward thinking artists drawn around the scion of master curator and sunset/sunrise set specialist, Lee Burridge.

They now welcome Lost Desert to the label with the release of Lingala, a two-track collaborative effort with Burridge himself, that also features Junior on vocals. Lost Desert was picked out of obscurity after Burridge discovered his music while trekking in a remote area of a long lost land. A fast forged friendship inevitably lead to the studio, and Lingala’s the enrapturing sophomore result. 

Lingala, is a beautifully composed ten-minute sonic journey. Our Debut Transmission is Gorje Hewek & Izhevski’s interpretation of Lingala is a markedly different affair. Focussing on musical layers rather than the vocal the duo’s  signature spacey atmospheres and minimal rhythmic percussion add extra strings creating uplifting moments that contrast the original’s mood.
