I did this entirely with my voice nearly a year ago for fun. I used pitch shifting for one overdub and sampled my voice for drums because I'm not black enough to beatbox, but no MIDI was used.
Deepblu if you're reading this is one of my favorite songs ever and I wouldn't do this for just any song.
