snare society: Secret Santa is a multi-week long event hosted in our discord server. members signup to take part, then get split into teams of 2, everyone being paired with partners at complete random, neither teams knowing who gets who. Team 1 is tasked with creating a sample pack within the span of a week, while Team 2 has 2 days to make whatever they want with the provided sample pack. we ended up with 30 FREAKING EPIC TRACKS that range in genres and styles.

with this comp we also tried out something new, that being a cover art challenge, where everyone was given 2 days (during the song creation period) to create their very own cover art to be used for the cover art, those submissions then being voted on by fellow snare citizens to decide on a winner. (there were only 5 submissions this time around LOL)

The fourth volume of the AMFLARA series tasked our growing community with an exciting music production challenge: Create a full song from start to finish in a mere nine days. Over a hundred unique artists got to work and poured an incredible amount of time and effort into the following compilation, where we handpicked 40 songs composed for the event by 54 unique artists that we feel truly embody AMFLARA's motto of creative anarchy. You can expect a wide variety of unique genres and styles, ranging from Dubstep to Ambient to Footwork. Within AMFLARA, vol. 4, there is something for everybody regardless of your music preferences, and we could not have done it without our wonderful community of musicians and listeners.

All proceeds and earnings from AMFLARA, vol. 4 will be donated to CHIRLA, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, a non-governmental and nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees.

BITTERNESS

Lingering Anger captures that fragile moment after the storm — when anger is still vibrating under the skin, but you’re trying to move forward. It’s raw, distorted, and deeply human.

LINGERING ANGER

Fear is pure tension in sound form. Saturated bass, glitches, and a constant push-pull between control and chaos.

FEAR

EVENT is a very ambient, ethereal track, with piano and spoken word. It’s a space to breathe — an introspective landing point within the EP. It captures the tension between stillness and movement, and ends with my grandmother’s voice, questioning the idea of coming back — to what? To whom?
