Українка Катерина Заволока aka ZAVOLOKA, як співзасновнця I Shall Sing Until My Land Is Free, презентує на DTF Magazine майже півторагодинний мікс з треками українських та іноземних артистів, зокрема Ujif_notfound, Ruslan Viter, Anna Pidgorna, Muslimgauze та інших.

Лейбл виник як реакція на повномасштабне вторгнення Росії в Україну і як спроба допомогти захисникам, волонтерам та всім, хто продовжує протистояти агресору, об’єднавши музикантів з чіткою позицією.

«Нас тішить, що I Shall Sing Until My Land Is Free став чимось більшим, ніж просто лейбл і збір коштів на оборону — це спільнота митців у всьому світі, які усвідомлено допомагають Україні», — пояснює Zavoloka.

Щодо звучання, то, за словами Катерини, їхній лейб фокусується на різножанровій експериментальній музиці — від мелодійної, ритмічної до важкої гітарної, нойзу та академічної електроакустики.

Hello to all the folks that keep up to this small corner of music industry violation. I haven't posted anything in near a year so it warms me inside even more to see people coming in, following, listening and maybe, just maybe discovering new artists. That's what it all about - sharing some of the music I love, providing yet another starting point into the ever expanding world of music.

My djing modjo, though how lame it was at all, have completely abandoned me now. Still, great tracks just keep arriving with slow pace - just right for me to pick them up without hassle. So I thought maybe let this one be just a simple good-old mixtape. Lots of good music here, some freely available, some pretty affordable - go on there and buy a track or two.  Seriously, I'm really exited that people just keep doing this, just keep creating and producing, adopt new models for music sharing and make it closer and more accessible to a general folk like myself while allowing artists a freedom of expression and a reach to the audience. Netlabel culture is really changing things, this is even more visible when you compare it to the way majors behave, especially with respect to services like Spotify. People that have nothing to do with music and creativity "just want their share" only beacuse they happen to sit on The Beatles discography. Fuck them and their law. I understand that Soundcloud needs to obey and with yet another two of my mixtapes removed I'm afraid that I will have to move to Mixcloud eventually. In the meantime let's keep the wheel turning.
