The third release in the 10YEARS story sees the two label-heads take centre stage once more. A split EP between Per Hammar and Parallax Deep, it showcases the many nuances to each producers’ sound arsenal. Berlin-based Per Hammar has been enjoying a swift ascent recently, thanks mainly to some brilliantly received sounds on the likes of Infuse (where he collaborated with Fuse’s, Rossko), Malin Genie Music (where he collaborated with Malin Genie and was remixed by Mandar’s S.A.M) and Okain’s always on-point Talman. Parallax Deep is a producer whose sounds are always worth the wait - and one listen to her contribution here and you’ll see what we mean. 
 
A cultured, dub-heavy, minimal-inspired release that speaks volumes of the duo’s penchant for curious, otherworldly sounds, this is techno of the sort that is laced with atmosphere, sci-fi tinges and futuristic-sounding flourishes. Parallax Deep’s ‘Trim’ is a case in point. On the surface, it does very little: gliding along at a steady pace, picking up gentle momentum as it goes. This one though, is all about the details, Listen closely and attentively and you’ll encounter a deep-as-hell track that notable for its empotive prowess and dexterous appeal. Truly impressive stuff. 
 
On the flip, Per Hammar comes out with ‘External’, a more ‘banging’ track that sees the producer switch matters firmly in a techno direction. From a purely emotional standpoint, it’s cut from a similar cloth to its predecessor, but this one is all about the hypnotic, trippy, repetitive vibes. A hugely engaging and deep track that’s primed for discerning dancefloors, it acts as a perfect foil to Parallax Deep’s contribution. An inspiring release that’s sure to appeal to fans of quality-strewn house and techno - and further proof of a label that’s definitely hit its stride of late. Hand-stamped, vinyl only and limited to 300 copies, savvy collectors are sure to snap up this one as soon as they can.
