Welcome to the sweet, smooth, sounds of Tashia. Singer, Songwriter and Producer, her music is captivating , charismatic and exciting. Tashia, singing as a child in church, and traveling with her uncles choir, began her humble beginnings on this musical journey. Tashia began writing her own songs at an early age, as well as playing musical instruments. As a teen, she performed in many weddings, which later led her to recording her own music. By chance she met a local producer and started performing live and recorded her first demo entitled “Brand Nu Day” in 2005, which received rave reviews in local music magazines. Tashia published and released her first single “Goodbye” in 2011, on iTunes, then later that year she released her first music video for “Goodbye” on YouTube. Tashia followed up with two more singles “Brand Nu Day” and “If I Fall. Tashia continues to wow her audiences with her unique style of music ….Nu Soul….as she calls it ; a mixture of Neo Soul, Reggae, Jazz, R&B and Gospel, with smooth, flowing, beautiful melodies, with charismatic, catchy lyrics Tashia’s musical influences are Prince, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Stevie Wonder just to name a few. Tashia is currently in the process of releasing her complete CD entitled “ Destiny“. Tashia is a 2013 Athens Hip Hop Award Nominee!
