Planet Rhythm follows up on its centennial release with the 101st effort on the long running imprint. For this 12'' the label has acquired quite a PRRUK all star line up. With milan-based Emmanuel kicking off the a-side with an analog stomper, this is already a release to add to your collection. Dutch techno stalwarts Abstract Division add an acid chugger to the A side. The B side excists out of a piece of drum machine terror by VSK and a fruitful collaboration between Serbia based Scalameriya and Re:Axis.

Pinkman’s Broken Dreams welcome a new midnight malcontent into the fold, Ernestas Sadau debuts with his first 12”: Gonzo on Tour. Sirens blare, samples hiss in a haze of static before a grizzled snare introduces “Riots in Jail Near Kaunas.” Grubby basslines curl into shards of acid, full figured thump sweetened by fragile bars. “Crackheads from Lyon” is steeped in the traditions of garage bands and D.I.Y. punk. Strings snarl and sneer at crashing drum beats, lonesome notes floating in the surge. The foul tempered “Hiroshima (Acid Breaks Your Body Mix)” demands the flip. Beats break and buckle under the leer of lewd 303 lines, a finale bubbling over with violent intent.

TYVYT_IYTYI. A dusty tape of six tracks unearthed beneath the Pinkman Broken Dreams division. Nothing is known about this unnameable artist apart from his sound. A legion of hiss marches across the cassette, a blighted beat bites into lancing synthlines that bellow and writhe in their pitiful attempt to escape. Strings are left to howl in turmoil in tracks born out of a crude joke and wry smile. Mick Wills offers no condolences, the Stuttgart man lashing away any humanity with his embittered edit. Found in the pit, made for the pit.

Los Fugazzi, the Mexican duo revelation of 2017 in collaboration with Vongold delivers their 1st release on Playground Records.

'Convalescent' is the first track and opens with a big elastic kick, snare that breaks the space in two and flying between acid modulations. 

The remix of Convalescent comes from the Spanish trio Gameboyz who are dispatched with an amazing remix that takes the most industrial part of the track through acid modulations of great abrasive power with sequences that twist, goes back and forth returning to low bpms and strength of a battleship.

Our pick 'High Hat Complexity'  imports lyrics from the Wikipedia page about 'high hats' but its all about the beat in this track and its a great 6min cymbal work out which is sure to make you move.

Zurich based @Nicola-Noir 's debut album "Frères"  on @Schieff-Musik shows that electronic LP’s don't have to be monotonous or fixed to one genre. Whether wavey, disco, jazzy to incorporating rock elements, everything is included in the new album - no rules is the new rule. Noir collects his inspiration from various locations, for example the song "la grande bellezza"  was inspired by Paolo Sorrentino's arthouse masterpiece of the same name. 

Each track tells a story of its own and as such they have not been created as purely commercial club tracks. Rather a selection of pieces that are perfect for intros and outros of multi-layered sets.

The latest instalment on Roam Recordings comes from young Mexican rising star Roliva. After a series of great releases on Night Noise, Nein, and Rumba Bisnes Music, Roliva brings his 80s rock tinged sounds to Roam Recordings. The EP features two originals - Acelero and Neumatico - the later being a collaboration with Technicism. 

Completing the EP are remixes from Musik Nonstop of 40 Thieves acclaim and Pino.

All tracks come together to give a superb slice of modern disco with elements of 80s, dub, and all around dance floor mayhem.
