An eagle lives the long work of becoming itself in the hills above Bethel. In August 1969, a human-made storm gathers in the valley—lights, distant amplifiers, and a field that won’t sleep. The record follows first climbs and widening range, then an injury that forces a hard return to the ground. Recovery becomes its own passage: still days, careful motion, and the slow renewal that arrives with a new season. When strength returns, the eagle tests the air again over the festival’s glow, rising higher until the final piece opens into a full-era grand finale—one last sustained chord drifting above Woodstock and fading into night.
