Hero was born in West Africa to parents from Ghana and Togo. He was exposed to the rich cultural environment that inspired his love for music. From a young age, he developed a passion for creating his beats, drawing inspiration from the vibrant rhythms and melodies of African music. Today, Hero is a producer, DJ, radio host (Oroko Radio) & event manager living in Berlin Germany, where he blends modern sounds with traditional African rhythms to create a unique sound. His music is all about bringing people together through dance and celebration, and he's constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in music.

"Kumasi Lab" is an experimental EP that serves as both a sonic exploration and a personal journey for hero. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural landscapes of Africa, where the artist hails from, this project is a bold fusion of diverse genres, including the pulsating rhythms of Uganda, Angola and the infectious energy of Brazilian Baile Funk.

The title, "Kumasi Lab," pays homage to Kumasi, a vibrant city in Ghana, symbolizing the artist's roots. The "Lab" element reflects the experimental nature of the project, where the artist steps into uncharted territories of sound, pushing the boundaries of his previous work and breaking free from any creative confines.

This EP is more than just a collection of tracks; it showcases the artist's desire to rediscover himself through music. By blending these global sounds with his unique production style, the artist demonstrates his versatility and willingness to take risks, delivering an innovative and fresh auditory experience that challenges expectations and redefines his musical identity.

HOME PARTY closes the album with a sound that listeners will recognize from Hero’s previous productions, yet this version is refined and polished to perfectly complement the HOUSE THERAPY experience. It’s both a celebration and a reflection, creating a sense of nostalgia as the album draws to a close. With its clean, polished production, HOME PARTY captures the essence of ending on a high note while evoking the poignant beauty of the journey.

This show promises to deliver rich, vibrant SAUTI (sound) while also offering insights into the beautiful African continent, occasionally with vocal guidance to deepen the experience.

With Guest: Amowia, with roots in Ghana and Germany, lives in Berlin and is a proud member of the Ballroom Scene, navigating as the German Leader of the Kiki House of Unbothered Cartier. They are engaged in noteworthy projects like OVAH Hannover and the new queer party BULU’HITA in Hannover, Germany.

Inspired by early encounters with Afro, Hip-Hop, and RnB, Amowia’s journey into house music broadened their musical palette. Drawing from an eclectic mix of genres, including Ballroom Beats, Techno, Disco, Jersey Club, Baile, and more, they craft a unique sonic experience.

As a professional dancer, Amowia’s connection to music runs deep, with their dynamic and immersive beats captivating audiences and guiding them on a transformative voyage through time and space to a realm of pure, uninhibited joy. Their unwavering dedication to dance, music, and liberation shines through in every performance.

Their sound has resonated in renowned clubs like Club Ost and OXI, as well as festivals such as Whole Festival, Mahagoni Festival, and Bloom Festival in Turkey. They have also taken their sound to Brazil, further enriching their journey through the international music scene.

Oroko Radio - Amour Africain invites AMOWIA

@djhelviofox2685 is a 19-year-old DJ and producer from Lisbon, and a key member of the collective TLS Produções. Emerging as one of the standout voices in the city’s new wave of batida, his music blends raw street energy with forward-thinking rhythms. From early Bandcamp remixes of Jorja Smith and Tems to his explosive debut EP CALA BOCA, Helviofox showcases a fearless approach—fusing Afro house, kuduro, amapiano, and gqom with blown-out drums and gritty textures. He’s already made waves on Vanyfox and NegoO’s Batida Única show and contributed to the Receba Só compilation, proving he’s a name to watch in Lisbon’s underground scene.

Oroko Radio - Amour Africain invites  Helviofox

A meditative track centered around the balafon, flowing with gentle melodies and calm energy. It carries a sense of gratitude and peace.
