@Mairakilla is Bali born and raised, half japanese, half indonesian DJ.
A Dancer and a drummer, she has been surrounded by music, anime and console games since she was little. Made her love to put anime /game song in her mix. 
Having a dancer mother and a father who is a DJ, it seemed natural to her to choose this route. 

In less in a year of her DJ career, she has recruited as a resident DJ for many famous night clubs, day clubs and beach clubs in Bali. Making her capable of playing any genre. But the one she wants to spin 'till the rest of her life, and the one she enjoy the most, is when she plays her banger 160bpm set <3

She is the very first Female DJ who plays in Breakinvasion, a yearly and the Biggest Breakdance Exhibition event in Indonesia. She also scrubbing to old school hip-hop, breakbeats, and funk for Island Break (@islandbreak.fresh), a yearly, most-fresh Breakdance battle event on the island. 

For her deep appreciation and respect in music, Mairakilla wants to share all of that feeling to all of you through her sets, and she will definitely, serve you that fiesty-cat, electric pikachu bass energy from Jimbaran!

This week we have a special take over from none other than the kick-ass German feminist Dj collective @zena.kollective. Expect a week of amazing high-energy mixes covering a range of different sounds, moods, and frequencies. 

First up with have Maeris bringing us a mix of 30min HITT and a 5min cooldown as a manifestation of her reoccurring urge to dance. Through this mix, she gives you an intense variation of breakbeats and industrial techno from her favorite artists.

“ZENA is a feminist DJ collective based in Heidelberg, Germany which aims to counteract stereotypes and gender roles, support FLINTA-Artists in Club cultures and create an overall more diverse music scene.
Since 2019 the four members have been actively influencing the local music scene by playing at clubs, hosting their own parties and participating in cultural & political events.
Through ZENA Parties, the four members try set an example for the overly male music scene and club owners, by understanding that having a good time and therefor a successful event goes beyond the musical aspect.
Creating a Safer-Space atmosphere not only for guests but also for artists and having a diverse line up is a must-be! It forms the way we perceive each other, it works against internalized prejudice structures and determines the future of the electronic music scene and the safety of our night life.
Since the pandemic the collective has been staying present and creating a growing community through social media, focusing on their weekly Soundcloud podcast series where FLINTA-Artist all around the world are invited to introduce themselves and show their music.
Last summer ZENA hosted a small two-day interdisciplinary art festival-RAUMSPINNERIN.
Currently they are working on publishing a Magazine working together with local artists, which will be published in the following months.

For this set Solė Fía gives us a spontaneous but classic move. Her heart, being in sync with the beat,  dancing and mixing in her living room. Bringing memories back with catchy melodies. Missing summer and the sun. Imagining happy dancing crowds, hugging, kissing and laughing. And totally forgetting to push the REC button. Luckily in the middle of her original mix, she started the recording. So now you happily have the pleasure to enjoy this closing of her set.

Gayance started as a DJ in 2013 just to make her first love a mixtape. Then, her eclectic musical taste was quickly picked up by many radio selekta and respected DJs. She made her debut at n10as. Gayance collects a large variation of music on vinyls from Afro-Latin Jazz, North American Black music, Caribbean vintage sounds, West-African and North African music.
 
For her first debut single "Fruta Gogoia" she dedicate a mantra to all Black Femmes to be unapologetic. This edit features the voice of one of her favorite Brazilian singer Gal Costa. Her single ''Ritmo'' in collaboration with Russian producer Dapapa is her first analag work on an acid house-ish song.

It's time for mix nr 9 yallllll! Delighted to share with you the next guestmix by Temple Rat(https://soundcloud.com/templerat) aka Mei.

Mei grew up near the vibrant megacity Chengdu in the lush Western China Sichuan Basin. At the age of 9, she began to learn the traditional Chinese Erhu, a genuinely mysterious folk instrument, two-stringed, played with a bow and made from carved wood and snakeskin, sometimes known in the Western world as the Chinese violin or the Chinese two-stringed fiddle. Inspired by her passion for the electronic music scene of Chengdu’s hyped underground, Mei started to fuse traditional Chinese folk music with minimalistic techno tunes.
Mei steadily improved her skills to express a unique blend of live ErHu performances with 4x4 electronic beats. She eventually started to perform as Temple Rat from 2015 on culminating in her much-praised performance in Shanghai’s 2019 Boiler Room. Her music is influenced by sparks of the natural and religious environment she grew up in, ancient oriental rhythms as well as by her favorite 90’s ACID elements. In 2017 she released her first EP on ADE China Pavilion Records and from 2019 on Mei collaborates with Tokyo producer Ryogo Yamamori with whom she released her latest album <Spring Dawn> on Kagerou Records which is available on Beatport and Itunes etc.
So far her musical career has brought her to cities all over China, Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, HongKong, Macau and major European festivals like the Château Perché Festival (France), the Summer Story Festival (Spain) and the ADE (Netherlands) Carnival Bizarre at KitKat Club Berlin, the Boiler Room Shanghai edition, Block FM Tokyo the Red Light Radio Amsterdam, NTS Radio,SHCR ShangHai and Germany COSMO WDR Etc.

Raissa is a Bali-based DJ & Producer, who is part of the electronic music label @non.archive. In 2021 she debuted her EP titled ‘Durma’ via NON ARCHIVE, followed by her contribution to the “ARSIP 001” Compilation and remix version of ‘Durma’ EP. When on duty, she’s always giving you some aurally interesting, rhythmic tension, with more expressive than typical four on the floor rhythm. She will continually give you some unpredictable bass from electro to techno while also leading you into the backbone of complexity with some percussive sounds.

Resident of the national radio show Fisica e Quimica in Antena 3, she is recognised for her provocative, intense and modern selections, always imbued with the speed and power of Techno. 

At the mixing desk, Valody possesses an inexhaustible good energy. Always dancing and with a smile that denounces the passion with which she does her art.

Ani Klang is a California-raised, New York-honed, international music producer and DJ. She’s a pioneer in experimental club music, creating apocalyptic, percussive soundscapes packed with tension, mystery, and sudden bursts of chaos.

Not only has she been named a DJ to watch by SoundCloud in 2021, but she also has three EP’s under her belt - the most recent being the delightfully audacious ‘Burn The Empire' on Hyperboloid Records.

dogheadsurigeri is a Polish DJ currently living in The Hague. She co-creates @MESTICOpl crew, which for the last four years has been trying to redefine music and club culture. Since 2018 she’s been a member of @Oramicspl – an initiative that supports the participation of women, non-binary and the LGBTQ+ community in the clubbing scene. Her sets are hybrid with rhythmic switch-ups blending cut-up deconstructed club-music with trap, UK bass, abstract techno and EDM snippets. Nonlinearity rages through the machines. Cyclonic torsion moans. Born under Scorpio zodiac sign, she’s ruled by impulsiveness and passion, which reflect in everything she does.

We had invited her to come perform a live-set at our event that would have taken place on the 4th of April, which unfortunatly had to be canceled due to Covid-19. Though that was a big disappointment for all of us, we are super delighted to have her in our mix series! 

Coming from a classical background, Marie always strives to tell an emotional story while at the same time creating an energy that makes people want to move. While the love for different genres makes her DJ sets more eclectic than her live sets, they are both dynamic, funky, and danceable, as Marie believes dancing is therapeutic for the soul.

Born of Japanese and Nigerian descent, Katimi spent her youth in her studies and found love in arts with influence from both of her parents —having a father managing a bar and a mother playing western radio shows at home, music had always followed her. After finishing her studies, she has decided to pursue her passion in music professionally.

AMPFEMININE has arrived to stimulate and arouse the creatives lurking in the darker corners of Rotterdam. We aim to add a lovely variety of color behind the decks and add the feminine energy that is missing in the power dynamics that are currently in place.

A dancefloor of bodies interacting and reacting, reminding each other of their physicality. With Rotterdam as our base, we curate events and play music, different to the sounds you’ve heard before. We will turn the volumes up and raise the levels of standard for what a party means and eventually shatter the glass ceiling. We aim at the production and reproduction of radical dancefloors and events which foster safety for all who may enter. Come and overexpress with us and let us blur your vision on what you are told the world is meant to look and sound like.
