Following up from 2014's debut-EP Begone, Amphior is now back with a similar touch on his new EP entitled Unlocked. The allusive and melancholic music still consists of the same noisy, distorted and, distant sounds that melts together with 2-steppy shuffle-rhythms and eerie pitched vocal-samples, however, Unlocked EP is generally darker and more into-the-core than the debut.

A master of lovelorn emotional surrender, Volor Flex brings his narrative to an end with Sabo, his fourth and last album under this alias. The reasons are only his to know, but Volor Flex certainly won't be this producer's final musical persona. Parts of Sabo already hint at subtle changes in direction and style - natural consequences of artistically perfecting oneself - showcasing even more of Volor's expert manipulation of samples and composer skills. 

Volor Flex's reputation and popularity have been steadily on the rise for the past two years; he has released 3 albums and 3 EPs, all representative of what it means to brilliantly adapt the specifics of a signature style while living up to the staple sound itself. The man who has been referred to as Burial 2.0, Alex Frolov of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, Russia delivers us a complete, 20-track long, intensely introspective album, possibly his finest work to date. 

Sabo is laden with familiar bittersweet moods made of crisp, dancy garage breaks paired with artfully constructed soundscapes as fragile as glass that Volor peels back until they break apart and fade away. All twenty tracks enclose the darnkess of the boreal forest, the harshness of the tundra, the anxiousness of isolation, the solace of being lost in thought and the memories of a loved one. Volor Flex adds a new expanse to the timeless comfort area that he's been building and has now completed, a place of relief and daydreaming the listener will repeatedly want to come back to.

Therefore we'd like to dedicate the next two projects to YOU: "Friends" & "Family".

27th of March is our date for the "Friends" project. A vivid and colorful mixture of sounds submitted to us by both well known producers and newcomers. Let your ears be filled with the friendship spirit.

27th of April is the launch date for "Family". As you may guess, it’s made up out of our current ZenSupremacy roster. You can’t measure the amount of excitement we have bringing this artistic diversity to you. It’s our first time getting together in such a large-scaled project. But again, all of this wouldn't be possible without YOU, our friends and family.

Amphior is the pseudonym behind Danish electronic and ambient producer Mathias Hammerstrøm, who creates immersive soundscapes fluctuating between melancholia and ethereal vibrations. Obsessed with the authentic warmth of tape machines, and vintage amplifiers, his atmospheric instruments, enigmatic voices, and lo-fi textures are often fused in a nostalgic haze of enchanting sound. Mathias’ music paints introspective pictures of disquiet rumination, the longing for tranquility - and somewhere in between - offering a sense of calming catharsis. 

Amphior debuted in March 2014 on Estonia-based Loodma Recordings with his “Begone EP”, venturing deep into the territory of “Future Garage” with skipping 2-step-rhythms, rumbling basses, pitched vocals, and the sounds of rain from the city. He re-emerged in a similar stylistic vein in 2016 with his “Unlocked EP” and followed up a year later with his debut album “Shadowland”; a collection of IDM-inspired and claustrophobically noisy tracks, released on the Dutch Shipwrec. Mathias has explored the fields of ambient music ever since. In 2019 he released his phantasmagorical analog synthwork “We Used to Dance” which included a remix from the prolific Sangam. In 2023 Amphiors’ third full-length album, the somberly meditative and spiritually pulsating “Another Presence” was released on the Italian Glacial Movements, and mastered by Slowdives’ Simon Scott.

Mathias has a new record “Disappearing” on the horizon to be released in 2024.
