Felisha Ledesma is a multi-disciplinary artist currently based in Berlin, GER. In January 2021, Ledesma’s first full-length release on Psychic Liberation x Enmossed arrived after much experience in creating collaborative works, site-specific installations, and high-profile festival performances.

Over the past decade, Ledesma co-founded, directed, and supported various organizations focused on experimental sound and community engagement such as the Synth Library in Portland, OR, a lending library for electronic music equipment. Most recently Felisha co-founded Fors (fors.fm), creating "novel instruments that are elegant to use and adventurous in sound" in collaboration with Ess Mattisson and is studying sonic arts at Universität der Künste, Berlin.

We have compiled together a ‘pay what you want’ 100% donation based VA raising money towards the amazing Youth Music Foundation charity. The album features tracks from all friends and family - spanning from drone, ambient, chug, post punk, new wave, jungle and all things in between.

What the Youth Music Foundation do:

“Each year more than 350 Youth Music projects are happening across England. That’s around 83,000 children and young people regularly making music. We invest in music-making projects where they’re really needed. Bringing opportunities for children to learn a new musical genre in a town where not much happens. Supporting a ground-breaking initiative in a deprived part of a city. Responding to difficult challenges like young people at risk of radicalisation.

Communities divided by prejudice or gangs can be brought together to perform. Writing lyrics can enable a bereaved teenager to express their grief. Making hip-hop beats can help a kid understand maths in a way they never grasped at school.
Being young can be hard. And we know that troubles don’t end the moment you hit 18. That’s why we work with children and young people from the moment they’re born right up until the age of 25.”

Under their exael moniker, Berlin-based producer Naemi makes highly imaginative music that can be seen as a study in contrasts- precise, hyper-detailed drum programming sits atop fuzzy, organic pools of ambience, virtuosic futurism is wrung from a falling apart laptop. Following a string of excellent releases, both solo and in group settings, “Flowered Knife Shadows” features eight productions that feel like the full realization of the project, demonstrating the artist’s range and knack for vivid, pressurized productions. From the dextrous, chops-flexing “Koch Metish” to the sanguine “Reality’s Sweetheart,” Naemi’s clarity of vision and instantly recognizable aesthetic are delivered here with remarkable potency. Amplify Berlin is a residency program that provides emerging Berlin-based musicians with guidance, a focused work environment and access to resources in the form of month-long artist residencies driven by a mentorship approach to creative development.

Artists are invited to apply via an online open call process (occurring twice yearly) wherein they select which mentors they want to work with. The mentors then select from those applicants. During each one-month residency period, two selected artists receive feedback and advice from their mentor, are given access to a music studio with a range of equipment and software and are able to develop their live set in the ACUD Club’s concert space (both with the support of a technician). They are required to complete at least one track to be
shared online, contribute to a monthly radio show on Reboot.FM and at the end of the residency, they perform at a showcase event at ACUD Club, on a lineup alongside their mentor.

Caterina Barbieri, Laurel Halo, Lucrecia Dalt, Robert Lippok, Ziúr, Born In Flamez, Ville Haimala of Amnesia Scanner, Andi Toma of Mouse on Mars, Drew McDowall of Coil/Psychic TV, Max Boss of Easter, Pan Daijing, Farao, Black Cracker, Sasha Perera, Andrea Belfi, Rabih Beaini.

Presented by ACUD Macht Neu, this program has been co-financed by the Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) and Musicboard Berlin until 2021.
