Known for their absolute magical Zulu on Diynamic last year the upcoming Gandul EP is the logical conclusion of the story of these talented guys.

"Gandul" is defining what the productions of Brigado Crew & Crisstiano stand for in a perfect manner: Their unique blend of deep house connects with the power of techno. Gandul with its peaking dense percussion heavy drop was one of the most sought after tracks in our recent sets.

We love to play very dynamic sets and "Sabana" is the perfect tune not to get lost in transition. A deep tribal approach yet with a heavy LFO driven bass line shaking you to the core.

Mulya and Sobek author our next Chapter, reprising a creative relationship which has already borne significant fruit. Their work has seen them find a home together with labels including Monaberry and TAU, while they have been picked up individually by imprints including Bedrock and Get Physical.

Here they offer three big hitters. Title track Mirrored Screen opens things in style, its chunky afro techno groove offset by an enigmatic synth line and a choppy single note pattern that is laden with tension. Tribal vocals add to the mix before the main hook opens out and satisfyingly hits home.

Shaking Hands is the follow up, built around a distorted, pitching percussive groove for a determinedly heads down, wild affair that is bound to move the dancefloor.

Rounding things off, Hard Curve is just as heavyweight. Equally moody and foreboding as it is hypnotic and driving, it comes paired with an Edition by breakout artist Rinzen (mau5trap). Rinzen's rework is progressive and euphoric, communicating and deploying a sense of scale that is reminiscent of classic Sasha or Stephan Bodzin.

Rinzen's Edition makes for a fitting closer to a very strongly rounded EP from Mulya & Sobek.

With a nod to the Portuguese word ‘Obrigado’ (thanks) and the wider collective of people and influences who allow the magic to happen, Argentinian duo Brian Harrison and Martin Kasall created Brigado Crew in 2012, and have been making waves in the electronic music scene ever since.

Fusing the power of techno with playful percussion, ‘Farah’ lures you in with solid basslines and circular crescendos. Gentle piano is complemented by spacey synths, building to gentle peaks but always retaining substance.

Like the mountain systems of Central Asia, ‘Hindu Kush’ travels you from the depths of the valley to a peaky zenith. Ubbah brings his characteristic deeper, darker influence to this track, maintaining Brigado Crew’s complex rhythms and mystical vocals.

Potently profound melodies woven with compelling strings are tempered by ritualistic percussion in ‘Jena.’ Driving synths are the perfect foil for the lighter, more organic elements of this captivating track.
