Q2 2021 Releases

Bene and Nils aka Kon Faber are two talented young producers from
Berlin. We share quite a few friends and it was just a matter of time
till we would be collaborating. That moment happened beginning 2021 and
from the moment we heard their track Odyssey for the first time it has
been running on repeat in our mountain studio in Portugal.

Logically finding remix artists was not very tricky and we are delighted
to welcome Monkyman back to Hug Records with this beauty of a remix. The
other remixes are coming from Charlie M and Harry Charles and will be
uploaded soon as well. Enjoy the music and lets welcome the arrival of
proper Spring in Europe together.

Hug Records had the pleasure of releasing Aiyu's Debut EP Nologic last October and knew since then that they have quite a talented new producer here at hand. Now they are happy to release another of his lovely productions together with a remix from an artist that we have been a fan of for a while, Hesselberg. The result is what we would call in Germany a "Brett". Best to be heard on loud speakers and caution may cause severe dancing desires.

'Okoa' influenced by Cristobal Tapia de Veers White Lotus soundtrack and 1950s Exotica music is the curious ferocity deep inside you that launches any wonderous odyssey. Creeping through the wild, you are aware that you are not alone, no matter what your eyes may tell you. Around every corner, under and up above, interesting companions await you. Amid adventure, connection blossoms in strange places. 'Aldeia' slithers in like a snake ready to coil around your body but means no harm- not yet. 'Moviola' which is a track that's heavily influenced by Gustavo Santaolalla, leads you into a quaint village far from the realities of your world. You are a foreigner in this land, and the choice to enter is daunting. They are suspect of this new character and feel out whether or not you are a real threat to it. The language barrier is a limitation hard to surpass, but you read each other instead. A bond manifests through a small window of familiarity as it's present throughout the music.
