“I just thought this song had a really odd, strangely beautiful quality to it, which is why I used it to open the record. I like the idea of starting absurdly small and then getting quite big and epic about two-thirds of the way through. Hopefully, people won’t turn up their stereos really loud at the beginning to compensate, because it does get quite loud at the end; but when it begins, it’s just so thin and strange. When you first listen to it, there’s a chance you’ll wonder what’s wrong with your stereo! 

It’s hard to talk about instrumentals because… they’re instrumentals: It’s difficult to say, “The song is about this,” because technically it isn’t about anything. And I never know what to name them, either, so I figure, why not pay homage to my favorite writers and borrow their titles? I’ve named a few of my songs after Southern Gothic stories, and this one comes from “Everything That Rises Must Converge,” which is a Flannery O’Connor story.”

Diving deep into the heavenly, surreal universe of the German duo Trashlagoon and their first release on Délicieuse.

The title 'Struggle' is the leading single extracted from their album 'Blue Empire' set to release January 2014. Sebastien and Niklas deliver us a sleek and euphoric sound, supported by the effectiveness of the piano gimmick. We admire their powerful yet subtle identity, a crossroads between UK garage and German deep house influences.

Madmotormiquel, commander in chief of the leading label URSL (Soukie & Windish, NU, Lake People, etc.) honors us by taking on a spin of the title. His personal touch brings a new energy to the original, with a backdrop of a racing deep house beat. Supported by names like Hannes Fischer, Nico Stojan, and Rampue.. this track already proves to be promising.

Our man, Viken Arman, reinterprets the title in a romantic and dreamlike way, utilizing his signature "pianistic" style (the harpsichord). Once again, we’re blown away by the quality of his production. Always polished and in accordance with the original track’s approach.

This release well identifies with the duo’s universe that they’ve since portrayed in their August release of "Daily Winter". For the upcoming months we’ve got only good things in store : a live exclusive in Paris, another single set for November, and a vinyl release exclusively available on the Délicieuse..

San Francisco DJ/producer Matrixxman has almost sprung out of nowhere recently. Although he's been on our radar for a year or so now, his output of late has been getting better, bigger and a lot more frequent.

Having released via Unknown To The Unknown, Classicworks and Fifth Wall Records, Matrixxman now makes his debut on Spectral Sound, the off-shoot of Matthew Dear's Ghostly International.

The four-track 'Amulet' EP features the trademark sounds that have helped to establish the US producer as a name to watch.

We have the premiere of 'The Caravan' and the track hits hard from start-to-finish. It's a dark, techno-focused roller that screams out to be played at 4am in a dingy room. Check it.

Délicieuse vous dévoile aujourd'hui la quatrième release sortie sur notre label Délicieuse Records. Nous partons à la rencontre du duo français Hot Steppa, composé de Félix & Vincent, qui nous avait depuis bien longtemps tapé dans l'œil. La France bouge et c'est un plaisir d'y contribuer.

Hot Steppa nous propose de rentrer dans son univers avec, dans un premier temps, le titre 'Fayen'. Avec une attention particulière portée sur le détail, on aime les guitares cinglantes qui se marient à merveille avec l'ambiance ethnique que dégage ce chant deep et original qui devrait vous faire voyager…

C'est tout naturellement que le producteur berlinois Florian Rietze, dont nous vous avons déjà parlé, a posé sa patte sur le morceau avec ce 'Fayen Florian Rietze Remix' d'une très grande qualité. Plus tech et punchy, l'Allemand exploite à merveille le titre du duo en proposant une version plus "club" tout en poussant plus loin l'utilisation de ce doux chant vietnamien…Le résultat est tout simplement excellent! Nul doute que cette version séduira les adeptes de musiques douces et fines alliées à des beats et rythmiques puissantes.

Hot Steppa nous offre également le morceau 'Koltza' qui s'inscrit dans un style cette fois-ci plus "House". Dans la lignée du premier morceau, 'Koltza' est un condensé de bonnes énergies où l'on retrouve d'excellents riffs de guitares alliés à de fines percussions qui se fondent dans cette ambiance ethnique qui caractérise l'EP. Une fois de plus tenus en haleine par ces chants qui répondent à 'Fayen', on aime ce mélange d'influences qui donne à Koltza un goût original et savoureux.

On monte le volume et on écoute cet excellent 'Fayen' EP qui nous aidera à passer cet hiver en toute sérénité avec des morceaux certes plus complexes et pointilleux mais toujours aussi agréables.

Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à Felix & Vincent au sein de l’équipe de la Délicieuse et leur souhaitons tout le succès qu'ils méritent. Un remerciement particulier à Florian Rietze pour ce très beau remix qui s'intègre à merveille au sein de cet EP.

We aren’t quite sure ourselves how this happened, but there seems to be a special musical 
relationship between the beautiful Swiss city Lausanne and Crossfrontier Audio. Following 
Salvatore Freda and David Durango, we are extremely happy to welcome Los Cruzeiros to 
the family from this wonderful town. However, since his contribution to our one-year 
compilation and his remix for David Durango earlier this year, it was only a matter of time 
until he would please our ears with a full EP. 
 
‘El Palacio de la Medianoche EP’ is an amazing release and definitely a musical highlight for 
the entire label. Especially the title track with its enticing piano line and the beautiful voice of 
Sarah de Warren is an outstanding piece of music, which we are sure, will touch the heart of 
many people. 
 
The whole EP shows that Los Cruzeiros is massively talented and that we all need to keep our 
ears pealed for more in the future. Lastly, as a cherry on top, watch out for the special remix 
release of his EP, which will follow later this year on Crossfrontier Audio.
