To record his sophomore E.P. "Tarot", Karim Kahar imagined a virtual reality based on his own childhood memories and the characters of the card game. Each track on the record is a part of its score, seamlessly blending dreamy breakbeats, hyper-detailed soundscapes and lush melodies. To direct the artist's first ever music video for "Aftercare", Amsem Records reached out to Parisian collectives C'est Ainsi and Studio Reve to create a video game directly inspired by the world of Tarot.

Having landed his debut on S.C.D.D. back in July with his ‘Aurorae’ EP, Otik's sophomore offering 'Miracles’ acts as a 4-to-the-floor serving of atmospheric prowess; one that sees him develop his distinct sound to a higher club-focussed plane.

The project’s title track 'Miracles', releasing as a single on November 1st, sets the tone for a record that boasts characteristically weighty bass, driving kicks and, as seems so ever-present for Otik, a cacophony of atmospheric elements that prove to be the driving force behind his sound. Through 'Lost Mary’ the comet of sound falls down onto earth, impacting with a cut-throat breakbeat and euphoric vocals, while 'Nebula' indulges in warping strings and rising synths and finally, ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ sees Otik blend gruelling lows with soaring vocals.
