During #jamuary days, we created one sketch together, improvising with a piano and other acoustic and electronic instruments and effects.

We liked the result and decided to create more music like that. It took two days of recording, and resulted in 7 tracks, each having it's unique core idea around which we were improvising together.

One thing that unites all these tracks is our focus on playing around the concept of music that creates states of mind instead of telling stories. But we don't insist on taking our music with this approach. We'd be delighted to know if it fitted some of your own stories as well as being a story by itself.

The dreamer feels suffocated by his father, and retreats to his room in anger. He finds himself laying in bed, crying, hoping to escape his pain. As he lays faced down with his fist clenched, he feels his body start to slip through the mattress. He tries to grab hold of his bed, his blanket, and anything readily available to him, but it is of no use. He proceeds to fall through and teleports near three planets. Each one is smaller than the next and are half submerged into a floating body of water. As he lands on one of the planets, he suddenly finds himself submerged underwater for what seems like an eternity. While submerged, he sees countless beings, chained and unable to free themselves. They are all reaching out to him, wanting to be freed. Unable to breathe, he struggles to make his way above the water. Suddenly, he feels he is being pulled down. He fights to free himself and realizes he is shackled at his ankles. He tugs at the chains attached, hoping to free himself before his final breath. Alas, all efforts are futile, as the light fades and everything begins to go dark.

submerged worlds (suffocating)

The dreamer recants a story he heard growing up about the Nibiru Cataclysm. Upon colliding with a water planet, Nibiru created the Earth and its moon, with waves of water being launched into space.

Billions of years ago, our Mother was an aquatic planet. A collision with a rogue planet gave birth to the Moon as we know it. The impact caused our Mother to lose a third of her water, as it drifted away into space, revealing the beauty that is her surface.

the nibiru cataclysm

Before the dreamer goes to sleep, he is filled with with curiosity. He knows his abilities are growing and ponders just how much further he can explore. His curiosity grows into restlessness, tossing and turning until he gives in. He must explore and test his limits.

Ossatura is a contemplation where ethereal voices meet complex rhythms, the ‘backbone’ of the entire podcast but also the first bite of my project. 
Nowadays, ‘No boundaries’ is the quintessence of music because it’s the only way to express the biodiversity of life. Then, everything begins with this concept, be ready to map something new…. something outside the world of human being but also part of it, extremely delicate and, at the same time, strangely ruled by rawness…. sound familiar?
