Pan-Pot may have had the best year ever after their recent hit, „Captain My Captain“ garnered positive feedback from fans and highly regarded DJs and producers alike – making them a throbbing phenomenon. Their first live gig at Sven Väth’s infamous Cocoon party at Amnesia in Ibiza may have caused the ambitious duo to produced more sweat than the ring of igniting fireworks surrounding them at „Awakenings“ in Holland, but it respectively pinned them on the map as internationally recognized artists. When the phone call came in from their idols from Slam, two new remixes were born on the „20 Years of Soma“ compilation. Thomas Benedix and Tassilo Ippenberger not only made their first impression on camera in 2011, but on the tops of charts as well.

Thus, mobilee presents Pan-Pot’s „Gravity“, the first single release after their successful outputs: „Captain My Captain“ and the „Lifetimes“ remixes. The release doubles as a teaser to the sixth edition of the successful „Back to Back“ compilation series.

Blasting off the A-side is „Gravity“, a high-tempo number picking up linear momentum verse after verse, featuring serious vocals by G-Tech. On the flip, Cari Golden’s soulful vocals chime in and out of the expressional „No One Knows“. Safeword, a magnetic duo comprised of Clint Stewart and Marc Smith from San Francisco, remix „Gravity“ through heaven and hell as „Sunset“ delivers a calm and spiritual opening piece slowly easing the listener into „Tenderloin“, a dark, grave track with subdued vocals and feeble beats.

In a whirlwind of triumph, this release is only a pint-sized preview of bigger things to come as „Pan-Pot The Documentary“ makes its way to a cinematic premiere in Berlin on February 21, 2012. The 2011 tour-docu will be included in DVD form as part of the „mobilee Back To Back Vol. 6 - Presented by Pan-Pot“ compilation package.

Italian based imprint La Valigetta is proud to announce the release of ‘Break Away Kicks!’, the new single from TJH87.

TJH87 are a Finnish electronic music duo made up of Timo Juuti and Hector 87. The duo started working together after allegedly raiding their local library to sample old disco records for inspiration and to incorporate into their own productions. The result of which is the making of their very own blend of disco house and pop savvy electro.

Their music immediately caught the attention of the international music industry and club scene, resulting in their single ‘Cheap Bad Moves’ being selected by DJ Eibhlín to feature on the Hed Kandi / Ministry Of Sound compilation ‘World Series: MIAMI Vol.II’ and ‘I Know It’ being featured on ‘Disco Heaven’.

DJ Eibhlín selected the record for its distinct laidback and deep resonance, which later progressed into hands-in-the-air feel good house .Their single ‘I Know It’ was also featured on BBC Radio 1 by Fearne Cotton and Dutch DJ Chuckie.

The duo followed this up by releasing ‘Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez’ EP, released on La Valigetta. Made specifically for packed out, sweaty dance floors this high energy disco house record also featured three remixes from PHNTM, Ghosts Of Venice and J Paul Getto, which gained support by Armand Van Helden, DJ Chuckie, David Vendetta, Robbie Rivera, David Penn and many more.

Their new single ‘Break Away Kicks!’ presents five high energy tracks resembling electro pioneers such as Daft Punk and Justice. On remix duty TJH87 recruited Digikid 84 and WAFA to create two very different edits, one more laid back after hours track and the other a more bass focused jittery affair.

‘Break Away Kicks!’ is released on Monday 26th November in digital format only.

TURBO 137 - THE GIVER REMIXES

Turbo Recordings presents four killer remixes of one of its biggest tracks of the year. Featuring Tiga, Lando Kal, Gingy & Bordello, and Locked Groove.

When Turbo put out Duke Dumont's "The Giver", everyone at the label knew it had the potential to become a massive house anthem. So when it actually happened, it was gratifying to learn that a) the label's braintrust wasn't crazy and b) the rest of the world isn't completely out to lunch. With support from Annie Mac, Erol Alkan, Heidi, Diplo, Damian Lazarus, Martyn, Soul Clap, A-Trak and a legion of other big names, plenty of radio play on BBC One, and rave reviews from critics, the track has taken on a life of its own, spending numerous weeks in Beatport's Deep House Top 5.

With this in mind, the label decided to go with its instincts for the remix pack, sticking with some of its best and most exciting in-house talent while also including a respected outsider. 

REMIXERS

Turbo boss Tiga turns the Lifestyle Machine up to 11, before snapping the knob off completely with a seven and a half minute epic that is possibly even more anthemic than the original. Turbo obsessives might have noticed that this is only Tiga's second remix for the label since 2005 - after Azari & III's similarly huge "Reckless (With Your Love)" - offering even more evidence of just how significant a release this is for us.  

With releases on Hotflush, Rush Hour, and Numbers, Lando Kal has been pushing his sound more and more into the realm of gear-based Detroit-influenced techno. His version of "The Giver" continues in this vein, a tripped-out after-hours workout that's destined to become the highlight of your next warehouse party.

Toronto's Gingy & Bordello are undeniably two of Turbo's most promising rising stars, with a career path seemingly taken out of some fantastic DJ/production duo storybook. Their mix ramps up the BPM and takes things into big-room techno territory. The arrangement is long and strong, and the payoff near the end is subtle and retains the essential ecstatic tone of the original while doing away with the commercial angle. Let Gingy take you on a journey, and then let Bordello take you on a journey. It's the same journey, but still.

The Canadian DJ/Production Duo Zeds Dead, made up of members DC and Hooks will release their Hot Sauce EP via Diplo’s Mad Decent label on January 29. The follow-up to last year’s Mad Decent EP, Victor, features 5 instrumental tracks that find the duo exploring more sonic territory with their music, further proving that they are one of the most versatile electronic groups around. From the opener, “Demons”, a nightmare inducing track with heavy, pulsating synths as well as keys and strings plucked straight from classic horror films to “Mr. Sub”, which displays a more minimalist approach from the duo with a bouncing bass and touches of space-disco synths and “Rave” a breakbeat monster that hits so fast they put in an audible breaths to remind listeners to take one themselves. Also, coming will be a video from acclaimed “Black Swan” choreographer Benjamin Millepied. This no hold barred approach to electronic music has posed Zeds Dead as one to keepan eye on in the year ahead.
