Kids, maybe it’s about time you heard the story of how The Bearded Man met KRONO. Don’t worry, it’s not as long-winded as How I Met Your Mother. Rather, it’s a quite simple story. The Bearded Man was in Central Park, beating the locals at 6 simultaneous timed chess games. It wasn’t for the money -- it was for the pure sport of it. After all, serious thinking and competition are the only way to keep one’s beard and mind sharp at all times. There was one particularly difficult match, against two pesky young kids. The match ended in a draw, and The Bearded Man had to know who could possibly match his skills. It turned out it was KRONO, and a lifelong partnership was born, ultimately resulting in this remix of Chris Lago’s majestic tune ‘Royals’.

True story: riding the subway in Manhattan, The Bearded man happened upon a delightful string quartet playing in-between the platforms. When high art meets low brow, anything can happen, and while it’s safe to say that most lookers on were pleasantly surprised, one sneaky gentleman felt the need to steal the bow of the violinist mid-song. Ruining a rare beautiful moment in an otherwise bleak environment, it seemed that humanity’s better nature had lost this fight. 

Out stepped The Bearded Man, and in a flash, he plucked a handful of hairs from his glorious beard, strung them together on an elongated, stale churro, and applied rat saliva as resin. The day was saved. Let it not be said that The Bearded Man is an enemy of music. 

That’s why he loves Nicolas Haelg so darn much.

Next up on Emerald City German duo Raumakustik serve up a sonic trip for the senses via ‘Dem A Pree’ with northern talents Patrick Topping and Jey Kurmis onboard to dish out two killer remixes.  
 
Following the huge summer anthem ‘Raider’ which dropped on Hot Creations subsidiary Hot Trax last year, Volker & Seb aka Raumakustik have been gaining an army of fans with releases following on Toolroom, Suara and Formatik. This next release, ‘Dem A Pree’ is a heavy club weapon of the highest order, prompted by dynamic and powerful vocals. “Pree means sticking your nose into someone else’s business,’ they explain. ‘Patrick Topping and Jey Kurmis did just that with our track but in this case it’s a positive thing because their perspectives on sound and vocals made it complete.”
 
Since his first release on Hot Trax back in 2013, Patrick Topping has since become one of the biggest names in the business with an intense touring schedule, a string of successful releases and a prized residency at Jamie’s Paradise night at DC10. Here he spins his signature style into the original with an intoxicating bassline that will shake any dance floor. 
 
Rising star Jey Kurmis has been making a name for himself on labels such as Moon Harbour, VIVa Music and Wow! Recordings since his artist defining EP on Hot Creations last year. Stripping the original back he creates a solid, low slung roller with industrial stabs at the forefront.
